FREE Puppies

An unlikely and previously unknown pairing has resulted in Shepherd/Dobie puppies. It was unplanned and unknown until the Shepherd bitch actually gave birth to 1-male and 3-females a few weeks ago. These are free. As such, you get nothing with them - no papers, no bill of sale, nothing. Maybe a beer and a laugh before you drive off...

You need to know this though: our breeders are also highly experienced and tenacious trainers. They specialize in Schutzhund certification and protection work. Both parents have STRONG working lines and are both Schutzhund titled although I can't remember which has made which...

They're 4 weeks old now and look like little miniature Rotty's with tails. I'll see if I can get pics this weekend...

My last dog was a GSD / Rottweiler hybrid, guessing that would be similar to these little guys. Very strong and very smart dog, but very protective. He was the sole reason the UPS guy only slowed slightly when kicking packages into my driveway for delivery. He was an incredible beast, I loved that dog.

Are people asking for pics because they're actually interested? I mean, for real here...

Those that seem sincerely interested - I can't stress enough that these are from two dogs that are working machines. There's very little 'pet quality' about the parents. They've both been raised from day 1 with work/sport/protection drilled into them. I won't say they WON'T make a great pet, but please understand what they were bred from even though it was unplanned. I know first-hand - we had two of 'em, unfortunately we're only down to one. They CAN be pets, but there's little-to-no chance you're gonna tone these sumbitches down. They'll be high strung, high energy, overly protective barking machines. Albeit they'll be incredibly train worthy, unbelievably smart and impressively protective. But you WILL have to control the aggressiveness right from the start...

I'm not saying they WON'T be lovable, loyal creatures. It's just imperative that you know what you're getting. They WILL be a handful, most likely 'til they depart and they WILL be A LOT of work to dial back. Their prey drive is gonna be through the roof and they'll require constant training and tons of exercise that puts their minds to work in a big way. These cute little puppies can very easily grow into wrecking machines if not properly cared for and trained...

If you're not remotely interested, please stop with the picture requests. I'll try to get some this weekend none the less, but if you're only interested in looking at cute puppy pictures feel free to do a Google search. I've been down this road a few times these last coupla years and nothing ever came from it. If you're serious and you're fully aware of what you're getting, then let's make it happen...for real this time...

I'm not necessarily trying to discourage anyone. I just want people to know where these dogs come from. We got two of their Shepherds and they're remarkable. Actually, with a very heavy heart we put our youngest down late last summer - this is actually the first I've mentioned it. But we don't do any protection work or anything with 'em, we try to make 'em as much a pet as we can. We have kids, they were good with them, blah-blah-blah. But they ARE and will always be very high strung dogs. And ours are still VERY protective and VERY territorial...

And to be honest with you, they'd be very much right at home working around & with livestock. Other than sport/protection, they'd be ideal for that situation. That's be an awesome outlet for them...

Posting a FREE PUPPIES thread without pictures and asking people to google pictures of the puppies is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Puppies tug on people's impulses, and looking at a helpless/cute/adorable puppy usually convinces people they need it.

Either make the effort to find them good homes, or be a full-on ass. Don't half-ass it like you are doing now. In all the time it takes you to sit here and type out your essays, you can go there, snap a few photos and upload it via tapatalk.

I didn't realize you were that familiar with not only my family's busy life, but our breeders' as well...

Quite frankly I couldn't give two shits about these. People have expressed interest in the past here so I passed it along. Lemme guess - you have no interest either, correct? In the time it's taken this thread to evolve, anyone here could've come and seen them in person already. But yes, I'll rearrange my plans as well as the owners' of the puppies to get you pics. They've been training dogs for two clubs for a trial coming up and we've been going crazy planning the next three weekends out of town with a trip to No. Carolina, then to Cancun. But all that can wait...
