Somewhat related, can I ask what you use to tow and the MPGs you get? I'm wondering if my Pilot could handle something like this...
Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. I'm guessing around 16-18 MPG.
This is what you picked up from Greeny, right?
smoking deal just dont think my Subaru would like towing this very much lol glws

I'd say a typical 6x12 single axle trailer will weigh somewhere around 1200 lbs empty (give or take) Add your cargo and let's call it an even 2000 lbs total towed weight (you will always wind up loading more in the trailer that you expect to!).
While that's not a lot of weight, it's the total amount of cargo that the tow vehicle has to handle. All vehicles have what is call a GCWR or Gross Combination Weight Rating which is the total allowable weight of the completely loaded vehicle and trailer including any passengers, cargo, and any conversion equipment. Ideally, you don't want to go much over 80% of this weight value for safety.
So add up the weight of the trailer, all of the cargo, the wife, kids, luggage, tools, equipment, the dog, dead bodies, lime, etc...and then add that to the weight of the towing vehicle. You also have to include the tongue weight of the trailer which is typically 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight.
The Honda website or even a dealer brochure should have information on what the GCWR is for a Pilot based on any optional suspension, engine or drive train.
Hope that helps a little..
A Honda pilot (at least the new ones ie 2014) have a towing capacity of 4000 lbs with a tongue capacity of 400 lbs.
