Stupid, Fat Katana. Aka a Hayabusa

Probably isn't the right place but some of you may someone who would be interested.

Mostly stock 1999 Suzuki GSX1300R . No ones put dopey swing arms, paint jobs or tasteless chrome bits all over it.

This bike has sat since about 2007. I picked it up over the summer from the previous owner's parents after he passed. Clean title in hand.

    It has:
Clear blinkers and tail (have spare headlight, gauge cluster and original lights)
    Power Commander III
    Yoshimura Carbon RS3 Exhaust
    Vortex Pegs
    Brand new fuel pump
    Freshly sync'ed throttle bodies
    Passenger seat

Needs: Coolant/clutch & brake fluid flushed, good detail & tires (I have a set of new ones) perhaps a chain if you wanted to use it next season. One side is missing the Hayabusa graphic. It's slightly lowered but I have OEM links.

Remember, the 1999 models are unrestricted.

$3,500 on NESR. (Some of you may know what I paid so please keep it to yourself )

I rode this thing twice. It's just plain stupid, 2nd gear at like 5k the front end tries to lift up. My 900RR doesn't even do that. The worst part is, it's actually comfortable. I've searched from Maine to NJ. This is the cheapest one out there.

Don't get me wrong I know this an extreme but Eric from DAS Perfromance has built a supercharged busa street bike that has just over 300 HP that is very streetable.

It's scary enough. No need for any of that such nonsense.

    Pete's right!

First I want the brakes working well and get it all squared away and cleaned up. I'm gonna gear it down a little.

I have always wanted a big bore bike with a stealth turbo setup, dunno yet if I want to spend the $...

    klp,

Once you get things the way you want them with the bike give Eric Paquette at DAS Performance in Dracut a call and see what he has to say about turbo or supercharging. He has experience doing both and is a great guy. Maybe you and he can figure something out to make the busa a little more fun on the street.

    Joel
