I just got this KTM in November, rode it at two trackdays, and decided that I want to focus on just one (type of) bike on the track for now. 2003 KTM 525SX - I'm unsure of the overall mileage/hours, but it runs great, and has about 3 hours on a fresh oil/filter/screen change. Also just 3 hours on refreshed suspension by GMD (new seals and oil). The bike comes with a complete set of dirt wheels and street wheels, including rotors and sprockets. Dirt tires have lots of tread left; street tires are Diablo Supercorsa take-offs with 2.5 races and a little less than 1 trackday on them (also plenty of tread). Full Baja kit, Trailtech computer, WPS aluminum handguards, KTM peg sliders, and Supermoto Engineering bar and axle sliders.
The bike has been down on the street and in the woods, and looks the part of a 7 year old dirt bike - it's no Cinderella, but it's no ugly stepsister either.
All things considered, I think $4000 is a fair price. Would also consider trades for cash + a smaller dirt bike/dual sport, or cash + an SV of some vintage.

Ox - Dunno, what are you proposing?Ideally for an SV, something around the $2-3k area in value...I think. It's been over two years since I looked at what X dollars can buy you for an SV. I'm thinking something for an occasional street/track toy.

Whats the difference between the SX and the SMC?
if i got one of these it would most likely be for the street and want something that is minimal maint.
would the SX be ok for that?

SX is supercross (motocross)
SMC is essentially a factory motard
This bike was a motocross bike converted to 'tard duty.
