You guys in the Wista Area can stop by my house if ya need. I change tires fairly often.
I use the No Mar Bar and am getting the Harbor freight tire changer from a ridding buddy who has no room in his shed. Should make it even easier to do them.
Here is a link of a new diablo corsa III being put to rest.
He brought me the tire the other day to switch out for a new one as it had a small slice in it.
My kids suggested I put it on the bike for a smoke show and I happily obliged..can't say no to the boys!

if you put a 2x6 on the tire and drive a car up onto it it will break the bead everytime.
i use a 4 post lift with a van on it. i just lower the lift onto the 2x6 it takes about two minutes.
while the machine is nice i use tire spoons with rim protectors.
my bike is slow it will only go 180mph so i dont bother balancing any of my tires.

That was a good deal for that changer. I plan on getting the NoMar add-on for my Coats 220, for street wheels.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Degs...is this some sort of career change for you now? Ducati valves, tire changing, general repair...what gives?

No, not at all. Just upgrading the tire machine because I use it so much now through the summer that I want the bigger one with more features (better for atv tires etc).
A career in the motorcycle industry in the north east is pretty much impossible if you have a mortgage to pay etc unless you can get a niche market, like PK has or something similar. The winter months are pretty slim pickings, even for PK I suspect. Dirtbike shops can survive the winter too, as their season is a little longer than the sportbike season.
If I could earn a decent wage all year round, I would quit and open a bike shop tomorrow, but it's just not viable in the North East. Everyone in the bike industry hurts during the winter.
derek
I hear you there. Perhaps it's the weather or available riding areas, but I look at interest here vs. out west and it's night and day. When I was in San Diego, you would literally see a bike of some sort in every other garage. I'm in the market for a house now...and anxious to finally get the tools in order and setup a proper workshop for myself.
