Considering parting ways with my 1999 SV650. Bike is not a looker, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself.
When I stopped racing at NHMS I bought a street titled neglected SV and fitted a lot of my race spares. This is set up more or less very much the same as my 2000 track/race SV was but with a title and plate. Bike came to me timed wrong and with a nasty carb. I replaced the entire carb with a used set that I ran through the ultrasonic and rebuilt, put new jets etc into. Once the timing was fixed and carb cleaned up she ran really well. I then bolted all kinds of the usual go-fast bits to it. I have street ridden the bike now and then and done maybe 2-3 track days on it. I barely rode it at all in the last ~2 years. Some time in 2020 I drained the gas, fogged the motor, carb and tank, pulled the battery and put the bike into storage. Registration has lapsed and this motorcycle is NH title exempt. Should be no problem to title / register with my previous registration and bill of sale.
Bad:
- Torn seat with gorilla tape repair - intact low-seat in good shape
- Peeled tachometer
- Some dings in the blue tank
- Plastics are not 100%
- Was not started or run in 2021
- Battery has been removed; gets time on the tender on a regular basis
- Exhaust has been down, shows some blemishes on can
Good(ies):
- Partly drilled for race/track day use
- Engine is tight; 200+ psi compression
- Transmission shifts well
- Full yoshimura race exhaust - sounds awesome!
- Aftermarket handlebars, grips, levers
- Galfer wave rotors
- Penske 3-way adjustable shock - sprung for ~220 lbs rider
- Good forks with Race-tech emulators, springs - sprung for ~220 lbs rider
- Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa race/track, DOT tires with good tread
- Woodcraft rearsets
- Woodcraft billet derby/clutch cover
- Rear brake reservoir delete
- Titanium caliper bolts, drilled for safety wire
- Braided brake lines
Extras:
- TWO (2) sets of good spare wheels with rotors. One set has wave rotors
- Mixed set of nearly new rain tires. Stored in basement in bags away from UV
- Spare race / track tank that is BEAT but holds fuel. Tank was lined
- Spare radiator
- Spare wiring harness
- Full set of spare lights; turn signals, headlight, etc
- Spare sprocket carrier/cush drive
- Spare triple clamp assembly for naked/N
- Spare ignition with key
- Spare set of straight, stock forks
- Spare carb set
- Stock exhaust
- Scotts bracket (no damper)
- Unpainted superbike/race tail
Probably about a gazillion other spares I am forgetting about. Extra oil filters, wheel bearings, countershaft seals, coils, gaskets, yadda yadda yadda. I am an SV hoarder!
Excellent track day toy. NEMRR/LRRS race ready with some body work and a little work. Selling because I could use the space and am probably out of the track-day game for the foreseeable future thanks to children.
Price is $2800 for the entire package.
No trades.
Would take me a couple days to assemble everything and extract the bike from storage, so please be a serious buyer.
I am also open to parting out some of the spares or go fast bits. Bring your offers.

Forgot I posted this. Still have all the parts and the bike. If anyone is looking for some gen1 SV stuff, look me up.
Guy on Facebook in NEMRR I think or maybe TTD group looking for Gen 1 front wheel
I'm not on the NEMRR group anymore to stave off any relapses. Maybe I'll post up to the TTD group and annoy Paul with SV nonsense.
