call and go see it to find out
Definitely not "too good to be true." I'd say 3k would be about top dollar for a 10 year old super chicken unless it was in showroom condition.![]()
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
I agree I barely got $3k for mine when I sold it last fall.
Yes, i agree as well, i took chris's bike in trade and can't beg someone to buy it, His is nicer and doesn't look like a spider-man bike. Call me and i will gladly sell it to you.
I'll sell you a 1998 with an entire spare bike for 3500.

This it?
Catalog - 1999 HONDA SUPERHAWK 998
Any more history/info on it? Rebuilt engines scare me.
Ok, I'll handle this one. It was mine many moons ago. The engine was BUILT for it not REBUILT. I had owned the bike for about 2 years and was well used to the power, I came across some cash and went to Naults Honda to talk to some friends there about making it more "literbike" like.
One of the guys there had a built engine in his VTR, high compression pistons, mild head porting, jetted carbs, full Akro titanium exhaust, etc. The bike was extensively dynoed there with a best of 119hp, damn good for a VTR. Unfortunately he had just gotten whaled by a drunk driver on said superhawk. Neither of them had insurance. I did the friend thing and bought his engine and exhaust. I had some cash left over, so I had their service dept install it even(I got raked over the coals, shoulda done it myself)!
I had no idea a superhawk could feel like that. It also got a -1 +1 sprocket change. A year later the Akro titanium cans got stolen, and since no other cans fit on the header, the stock manifold with 2bros pipes are on it now. I still have the header. I did a few trackdays with it, and nicely laid it down in turn 3 in the wet. Just scratched it. The bike really is awesome, just keep up with the cam chain tensioners.
Oh shit you got Butch's engine. No fuckin shit!!!! I knew we were long lost twins and shit. Funny thing is too that the Hobbs that own Hobbs and lived in the same hood, on the mean streets of goffstown, back in the day and i went dirt riding with him this year. Small small world.
Yeah man that fuckin engine is no JOKE. I got a few bits from that bike for my spare one. Butch still aint right.
Where is your original engine? Do you still have it? All I need is a good engine, and a set of forks, and I will have 2 Superhawks on the road.

You know Butch! Hahahaha! Weird. He's a riot! Ya, it definetely gets out of its own way.
Yeah man I know Butch.
So what about that original engine?

I sold it. I wanted to do something cool with it, like put it in a go-kart or make a chopper, but I didn't. BOOO for me.
