Looking for a well sorted GS500 race bike located in the East or South East. Must be race ready, not a project.
Replies to ducmotorcycles@aol.com please include pictures and full information.

Why specifically the GS? Looking to compete in a particular class? Generally the EX500 is the way to go. Much more power.
(hehehe... "much more power"... man it feels funny saying that about the EX)

I just want an air-cooled twin that's light and nimble, doesn't have to be the fastest twin out there

ah, air cooled... gotcha.
Have you checked the WERA boards - forums.13x.com - or maybe www.clubracer.net ?
It's VERY rare to see GS's already in race trim... good luck though.

Well since Hardcore is trading me the GS I guess I have it.
What are you looking to spend?

I have a digital camera you can use. Or you can spend the hundred bucks and just buy one.Originally posted by hardcore

There is a 0.00% chance of it not being a piece of junk; its an old race bike.![]()

and as far as GS500 race bikes go, this is a pretty sweet piece of junk. I mean, it actually looks kinda nice. you know... for a gs500
Wally, Chad may not be the best salesman, but you're not gonna find many GS race bikes... and his is in pretty good shape.
I think we need to make a love connection... Who's got a digital camera for Chad?If i had one I'd go down there & take some shots just to harass Chad again

I'm not saying it isn't I just like to see a bike before I make a long trip to make a purchase. I found one I like but it isn't for sale. This is basically what I'm looking for, a well sorted GS500 race bike. I'll pay top dollar for a clean well sorted bike.

Does anyone have any pics from last season with it sitting in the pits?

Note with any Chad bike it immediately gets covered in about 48 stickers laid out in a completely mindless fashion. Hope you have some Goo Gone.

I see you're a Hawk fan. How's Hord doing? Years ago Hord did a calendar and one of the pictures he used was a street Hawk I built. I'm now building a 72 CB350K4 race bike, that's why I want a GS500 that's turn key, I don't have any spare time this Winter.

Wally know's Hord? He must be a good guy.
I'll clean the bike up (if it needs it) and get you pics ASAP.

Hey I remember that Hawk, what a beauty, RC30 replica. Were you or are you on the Hawk list? For some reason your name is ringing a small bell.
Anyhow Hord is still Hord. He helped all us MABE guys out a bunch last season. He swings by our forum a bit. Lotta Hawk stuff here: http://www.maberacing.com
Small world.

I've been hanging around for years, Hord is super cool. I sold the Hawk and dropped off the list when I bought a Ducati.

Still have the 916, I'll keep it until they bury me. Got hooked on Ducs for a while had three until I thinned the flock. I'm glad I don't have a barn or I'd have 50 bikes!

Hah. I've got 6 or 7 bikes total in the Garage right now.. Also trying to uh.. 'thin' it a bit (from 50's to racebikes to dirtbikes etc).
I agree, if I had a 916 (on wish list) I'd keep it till I died as well. Why not? It's a iconic machine with styling that will never get old and enough realworld performance to keep anyone happy. That one you have is good looking.
My teammate Bob Stone also has a 1997 Ducati, a 748, and it still looks showroom even thou he rides it quite a bit. Love that thing.
Cheers.

I could take a heaping stinky shit, place it in some colored plastic wrap, put a flower on top, take + post a picture,+ sell to someone looking for a pretty get well present !!!
GET THE FUCKING POINT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a turn key gs500 racebike with many RACING UPGRADES !!!
"clue for anyone buying ANYTHING"------------ "1st step"-talk to the owner + get ALL the info about the item!!!!!!!!!!
"2nd step"--look at a picture of the item!!!!
"3rd step"--go check out the item in person!!!!!
LAST STEP--buy or don't buy the item
ps---no I'm not a salesman, because I don't see any need to lie in order to sell something!!!
In fact, I see NO NEED to lie about ANYTHING (unless joking around) because if someone can't handle the truth---they don't have to listen + I DON'T GIVE A FUCK !!!!
hahah. Chad. Classic.
Funnything is he's such a creampuff in person.
Boston --> San Diego
If it helps I took the bike in trade from Chad without even seeing it.
What was I thinking!!??

It will be in Burlington, VT Friday night. If Wally (or anyone else) doesn't want it I am parting it out.
