Arai's XD helmets are a nice combo of Dirt and Street style. You get the forward chin bar of a dirt lid, which allows for lots of air flow, with a traditional shield so you don't have to fuss with goggles. Plus a nice visor.
if you need sumo pants, i have a brand new, never worn set of Troy Lee Designs Speed pants, leather, size 36, black.
going to throw them online soon but FYI, selling for $170 (~$260 new)

compared to true leathers? more flexible, less weight and less protection. basically a leather/textile hybrid MX pant. plenty of room for knee guards/braces, come with hip pads only.
trying to find a pic online, look basically like these but with a different TLD logo style, the name is fully spelled out. all black with white perf knees.

Hybrid helmets are made by Arai and Shoei.
Pretty cool. I think I saw JRO with one on. Not sure if it was hers, but she may have some feedback. MotoMarket definitely has Arai in stock. I can go for a ride with you after work one day.
cool, sounds good. i'm in no rush so if you think you want them we can work something out in a few weeks. i mentioned to a few others but no one has spoken for them.
zap me a PM once you know your schedule. i'll take a few pics so you know exactly what they look like.

I've got 2 Arai Xd lids, a silver one I use for offroad and red/black/white one I use for street and track riding, Best helmet design ever IMO. I'm sure I look like a tool sometimes but I even use it when riding the R1 sometimes. The air flow is so good because of the visor, it keeps you very cool on a warm day. Sounds crazy even with the MX style visor, but wind buffeting isn't much worse than a normal road helmet until around 120mpg (on a closed course of course) Perfect for SM riding!
It may be a little warmer for offroad riding than a real offroad lid, but I have found just leaving the visor cracked a bit is a huge help. It does fog (most goggles do as well) when riding slow single track trails on a damp cool day.

Jim, next time I see you, remind me to match my knuckles to your head.
FWIW the XD's visor comes off in about 2 minutes and you can strap some real MX goggles in there for when you are off-roading. Slick design.
