As the zipper on one of my Oxtar sport boots is failing, I'm looking to upgrade to a pair of race-style boots. My feet seem to fit quite well in an Oxtar 42, so I'd assume an Oxtar/TCX size 42 would be ideal. I generally wear an 8.5 street shoe (or 26.0/26.5 ski boot) if that helps for comparison.
Looking for something that doesn't have a lot of crash damage or evidence of imminent zipper failure. Anything available now and/or that could be delivered at the TTD on 9/29 would be awesome.
Please let me know if you have something. I'd like to avoid spending new-boot money.
Thanks,
Kevin
as apoint of reference SIDIs run larger, SIDI 44 fit me and I'm a 10.5

FWIW, I think a 42 fits 8.5-9.5, so OP should be fine with 42's
Dennos are probably best route, good condition used beats $400... And the soles are like new!

i got Sidi B2's in black $100 MSRP $230
and
Sidi Vertigo Corsa in white $175 MSRP $425 (i think)
both are used, the B2's are actually in better condition (just street riding) than the Vertigos but the vertigos are much better boots and could be made into new with the replacement parts... (I raced in them for a season and a half)

For the record, a Sidi 42 is not the same size as an Oxtar 42. Big props to Denno for getting the boots to me in time for the track days and at a fair price, but unfortunately they don't quite fit (I wore 'em at both of the last two NHMS days in the hopes that they'd stretch enough, but my right toe still doesn't fit). If anyone has experience with ski boot fitting, I'd compare the fit to a Garmont Adrenalin 26.5 (which I skied in for a couple of years after significant toe box work), whereas my Oxtars fit more like a Black Diamond Factor 26.5 (which I now ski in without any grinding or stretching).
So if anyone wants a pair of well-tested Sidi Vertigo Corsas in a size 42, I'd be happy to sell them for what Denno got from me.
If anyone wants to sell a pair of Oxtar or TCX race boots in a 42, please let me know.
Thanks,
Kevin
Pics are attached in Denno's post above. I got them for $150, so I'm looking for $150 plus shipping (unless you happen to be somewhere I can get them to without shipping them). I can bring 'em to the TTDs in NJ next week if you happen to be going (and if you aren't going, you should think about signing up...I hear there's plenty of space left).
As far as condition, they have been crashed repeatedly. The only functional damage I noticed while wearing them was that (a) one of the vent control levers is stuck in the open position (not a big deal for track riding, as I wanted the ventilation even in the chilliness that was this week's BoMo day) and (b) one of the instep-tightening mechanisms is missing the red half-moon-type-lever. I believe Denno has the tightening mechanism piece on order.
On sizing, I should note that the left boot fits me fine (it's a tad snug, but that'sa good thing); the right boot is too tight. I've run into this before, also with ski boots (in some brands, I've got a 26.5 left foot and a 27.0 right foot). I don't know where your feet would fall in that spectrum.
