Thought they wouldve released the 2017 schedule by now.
Heard that they wont be returning to foxboro due to the state having some sort of issue. I hope its not true but its Assachusettes so it probably is.

any more news on this? i dug around but can't find anything ... just had it mentioned to me again that they won't be returning to Foxborough.

its amazing how they come up with these schedules. how is any privateer supposed to be able to afford to race in the 450 class? they zig zag across the country so much.

That's the whole point, the AMA doesn't give two shits about the privateers. They would rather the gate be full of factory and factory supported riders, and the privateers stay home so they don't get in the way. The bonus for the AMA is that their amateur series (AX, Amateur Nationals) will be packed full of riders trying to earn a factory ride all the while paying HUGE race fees. The cost of those races vs what you get is insane. Makes road racing look like a bargain.

well, maybe not the whole point. thats why the 250 class is east/west so those guys dont have to travel the whole country and the privateers can cut costs, earn a ride and then be supported on a 450.
at least the champ will have a home race next year.
