^^ I bent the bars and brake lever on one of the get offs...dealer didn't have the OEM black bars in stock, so they swapped some grey bars they had on the shelf (total $279 installed)...pic to compare
@TL - no that wasn't my husky sliding down the icejust saw the video and LOL'd a bit
@rada - actually I was good with base layer + pads + klim jacket/pants + REI rain shell + snow board style gloves. as I got hot, rain shell rolled up into back pack
edit: the extra tie down points on the bed rail towards the front axle (and using the opposite side stake pocket D-ring) worked out excellent for securing two bikes against the side of the bed with room to spare

Aaaand it’s done. Zero BS. Dealer bought the bike from me for $7,000 so they can re-sell it on their sales floor.
I was hesitant to buy new, bike did not have any “It factor” when riding, I spent 700ish miles to see if it got better, and I did the maintenance by the book at the dealer with periodic oil changes and valve adjustments. The expense/fun ratio was not worth it for me...
Total out of pocket invested was $15,000+ for 3ish rides...so it was only $2,600/ride
So yeah...I do ride a lot, but buying a new enduro is not for me...especially not the 350.
Oh well...it’s just money. Next time I will rent the 450/500/501/701 first...go used...and do maintenance myself

I could have told you that 4 strokes suck.

What just happened?!
I gave this whole "new enduro bikes are awesome" a fair shot...I spent the money, I put in saddle time, I researched the "best" bike, I rode it where it was designed to be ridden
the cost/smiles ratio wasn't there
bike was not really exciting
I did the maintenance by the book and spending $80-$300 after most big rides eventually bothered me.
seriously, if you want to do 4-5 desert rides/year, just rent it for $75-$100/day. don't get me wrong, it's an excellent bike...quality components, reliable, well suspended, and easy to ride...but like everride said: it's better, but is it $8,000 better? not for me...sadly it cost me $8,000 to figure that out![]()

I still think you weren't riding it fast enoughBut I spent an afternoon at a sand track last weekend was wishing my soft WR had a bit more punch to it.
I'm so cheap I might have forced myself to hold on to the bike for at least another year just to get those dollars-per-ride down. But only live once, and money isn't everything. If you know you'll only have time for a couple rides a year and the rental options are good, that seems like the way to go. That's how I do downhill MTB bikes. But those are easier since they're on-site and usually no reservation required. I feel like renting a moto can add an extra barrier to getting out more. You don't have kids right?
Some of the ADV-dirtbike and enduro reviewers feel more like they like the social aspect of exploring/riding/touring, and farkling, and talking about farkling. But when it comes to the desired riding styles/levels of aggression, they might use language that isn't exactly right for what they're doing.

I still don't believe it.
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
It was only expensive to sell back and have them maintain. If you had just kept it, and did the maintenance yourself, it would’ve cost the same as any other bike to run.
If you didn’t like the thing that’s a horse of a different color.

Just checking back in to say this thread is a steaming pile of garbage, and that garbage is comprised of the dog crap I pick up in the yard after winter, my counter top compost container that my wife has forgotten to empty for the last month, the milk cup my three year old stashed behind the dresser "for later" 2 weeks ago, a years (cumulative) worth of used tampons, and a cooler full of Bud Light that was left in the sun where eventually some of the cans burst and then marinated for the entire summer.
FUCK YOU BHAVESH! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE CHOSEN ONE THE PROPHECY FORETOLD!

Lol comments...not the graphics but the setup man...all the mods I would do are there and it’s a 501...relatively speaking for me the 350 was a beginner/gf bike. I will find a 450 and 501 to try out, but that’s what I am thinking next...buy low hour/used and do the work myself
