I want to get some spare plugs for the kids bikes. Gasgas 85 and KTM 65
But the plugs are ODD. Trying to find them on Motosport with no luck.
85- BR9ECMVX
65- AR12C
For the 85 I can find BR9MCMIX which it says replaces the BR9ECM, think this will work?
Is there an alternate more COMMON plug I can use in the 65?
paging @typeone
yup, NGK BR9ECMVX should work in place of BR9ECM. the 'VX' means fine wire electrode but if you want to stay stock, RockyMountain carries the BR9ECM.
for the 65, i just ran the stock plug which is NGK LR8B, RM carries that as well. same plug for the 50, worked fine for us. i'd stay away from the Brisk plug, but that's just me. NGK always.

Thanks, ordered!
$27 shipped for 2 damn spark plugs....
IX I believe would be Irridium, so not going to be a cheap plug.

ah, didn't realize you were dealing with a fouling problem with the 85. the IX iridium should def help, same with the VX fine tip, but i'd just move to a standard pre-mix ratio now. you've done the good deed (IMO).
for the 65, we ran the Nihilo jet kit + reed spacer. cleaned up the bike nicely, was a tad blubbery totally stock. i never run break-in oil ratios so that was with the reg 60:1 ratio recommended in the manual.
side note: i run iridium on my full size 2T bikes because i tend to like them a tad fat.

The amount of spooge out the pipe on the 85 is retarded. Its a fucking FAST bike, she just isn't riding it hard enough. Nobody listened to me when I said she should get a Honda 150r.
I looked for lower gearing to make it lug better with no luck. Stock is 13/49 for the big wheel (13/46 for the small wheel). Best I could find is a 50 rear which wont do shit. I was hoping to find a 12 front but no luck, only 13s ad 14s out there. She dumped on a steep climb and it was tough getting it going. She almost looped it out. I got on and I almost looped it out.
You think were good to go to the recommended 40:1 mix?
65 appears to rip just fine, he hasn't had any problem keeping it cleaned out lol. I havent heard any bogs.
Pain in the ass having different mixtures for the 2 bikes.
Where did you sell that e-bike? I haven't had any bites on the 50, I'd really like to see it leave. I probably gotta get someone to put it on FB marketplace for me.

yeah, i bet the 85 is a rocket! hmm, wouldn't you want to go smaller on the rear sprocket to help her lug? i would try the 46T. if you go 50T she's going to loop it even quicker! EDIT: i would also throw a flywheel weight on for her, i see a 7oz available for that bike, we're running a 10oz on the 65. all benefit, no downside, keeps momentum in the motor which means less stalls, more traction at slow speeds.
yup, if it were my bike, i'd go to standard mix. you're over the break-in period.
the blubber on our 65 was when he was on the gas/pipe. it was sputtery when he would get on it at CH down the straight. same at 508. Nihilo kit cleaned all that up.
sold the SX-E on FB. i've got a system down![]()

I dont generally do a break in oil ratio either, but this has a big sticker on the frame that said 30:1 for 10 hours, then 40:1. Ive never seen that before, seemed important.
