We were riding the woods at our place last weekend , and now that the trails are somewhat getting rutted in , the little sappling stumps are starting to show up in the corners , one in particular popped up out of know where , grabbed my front wheel and threw my bike to the ground , all but my right thigh cleared the handle bars, this is 1 week later ,I suppose it could have been a lot worse and been in the groin .

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
Ouch. Yesterday, I managed to take the KDX for a 15 minute spin. In that time, I got a stick jabbed into my face, right under my right eye, jammed my left foot into a hidden log, and had both forearms bleeding. Dirt bikes ain't for pussies. I've ridden with you. You aren't one.
I suppose it would help if I geared up, even a little bit. The stick dislodged my glasses, which fortunately got hung up in my bicycle helmet. I got to the top of the gnarly climb, and yanked the stick out of my face. I looked in the mirror and could still see a small piece of wood in there, so I picked at it until I got it out. I then folded the flap of skin back over in the right direction to stop most of the bleeding. My foot hurt, but there was no way I was going to remove my sneaker out on the trail to take a look at it. I continued on until the multi-flowered rose ripped my forearms to shreds. That hurt more than anything else. My t-shirt had little red dots all over it.
Tomorrow, at work, people will say "What happened to you??!" - and I will most likely reply "My wife. She gets that way once in a while". :-P
Is that from the YZ? Now it scares me even more lol
nope it was the WR , the speed was slow but it happend quickly .
when we cut the trails, we tried to get all the sappling stumps cut flush with the ground , but now that we are roosting the dirt away , the stumps are a few inches tall , which is no big deal until you try to rail a corner .
I had knee armor on which comes a bit up the thigh , but this was just to the left of where the armor stops .
and yes Greg , dirt bikes are not for pussies.

Whoof.
Been there done that! Had a bruise that went the full circumference of my thigh from a bar hit when I hit that tree a few months ago.

Looking good Sean. You/we knew it would get more colorful. Hopefully it's not too painful.
That sucks...I had a similar issue just didnt clear them and took the part that bolts to the pearch to the bars off the knee and got 5-6 stiches out of it...fun fun

Lately, the ATV handlebars have been jabbing me in the gut a lot. No wonder they put power steering on these things!
