Life without a dirtbike!

There is no life without a dirtbike.. lol I traded my YZ250X for a YFZ450R early spring because knowone was riding dirtbikes near me, and mostly quads. My neighbors have recently started riding dirtbikes, which has scratched my itch to get back on 2 wheels.
I found a decent deal on a used 2021 YZ450FX with 26 hours on it. I have a few protective guards to buy, and it’s good to go. The onboard WiFi instant tuning feature is pretty cool, just download a map to your phone, stand next to the bike, and send the updated tune to the bike.

The FX is sooooo good! If you thought the 250X was classic Yamaha awesomeness, the FX does the same for 4 stroke MX bikes.

Yup, it's a fucken bear..but I happen to like bears..

I have two maps loaded, first is a low performance..I'm afraid of this thing map, and the second should be called zero wear of the front tire.
In full power mode, the front end simply can't stay on the ground...kinda makes it hard to ride and laugh at the same time. Low power mode with the simple push of a button, makes it feel like a 1990s erra xr100...lol

I'm looking forward to getting to know this bike better

2nd use of this bike, using it for a couple trackdays. The wheels I had from my 250X fit, I just need to get a new chain, rear brake disc bolts, and front axle dust seals. It’s odd the axle size up front works, but the spacers are larger circumference

Agreed, and I'm liking the clean minimal graphics look that Yamaha has been doing the past couple years.
The poser in me will likely have me ordering a blue chain for it as well.
