I'm officially dirty

Hit crow hill yesterday with Squirrel and another guy. First time riding mx in about 25 years...and first time ever on an mx track. Wow. Got my ass kicked. I'm amazed at the balance required to ride these bikes...and the physical stamina. I was cooked after 3 sessions. After years of track riding, it was hard to transition (such as grabbing at the front brake and leaning off the bike into a turn). It's going to take some time to get used to this...but it was a blast.

Nice. It is indeed a rude awakening! I did the same thing you are doing about 5 years ago. Still loving riding MX and it is really starting to improve my roadcourse riding now as well.

I think I was just in better overall shape when I rode dirt bikes...

hahaa, yup. when i switched to street from dirt around '01, i did the same thing... that hairpin on Rt 2 out in N. Adams bit me on my first time out, got surprised and threw a leg out on the F4i. no drama but i felt like a spode.

bostongixxer, congrats on gettin' back in the dirty game, i had a long hiatus as well. i'm sure i'll see you with the usual CH gang

Weekends are tough for me... I work Weds to Sun overnights. My weekends start Monday at 7am and I go back to work Weds at 10pm.
