we were sitting at the local pub tonight for dinner the owner introduced us to a couple that we had seen in there more than a few times over the last 8 years , we got to talking and it turns out that they are our neighbors about 1/8 mile down the road and they have 17 acres with some trails on the property .we will be doing an " i'll show your mine if you show me yours " type thing in the near future , granted they are atv people not dirt bike , but its all good. they are about 20 years older than we are, but I think we just increased our riding loop .

That's great, Sean! It is always nice to know and have friendly neighbors. To have neighbors with similar hobbies is even better.
Dude, nice... I need neighbors like that!

that is great. i met my two neighbors on minibikes when we moved herenow i'm able to scoot through one of their yards to access the woods. such a huge plus to have similar redneck hobbies
especially off-road stuff
the rest of 'em are ready to call the cops as soon as you start having a little fun. a few kids down the road used to zip around in a gokart like every day, and safe too w/helmets, etc... then it stopped, and i'm sure i know why and by who.

well, when you live in the middle of nowhere, and your town consists of 8 people, then yes, the world must seem small very often
I just hope it stays that way for ya...when I was growing up, the place I lived was a "small town" and there was a huge sand pit in the woods (with an MX-style track), trails around abandoned houses behind the middle school, and a track with a hill climb and whoops section through the wildlife and fisheries reserve! you could even take your off-road bike to all those place without getting stopped (heck, there weren't even any traffic lights in the center of town). Now all of the above riding is gone, and police will be there within minutes of your off-road vehicle being anywhere off your own property (and even if it's on your own property, you will get called about for noise). The population has gone up, the cost of housing is nowhere near what my parents bought it for, and all the new residents are middle -> upper middle class.
