Hitting up Crow Hill again on Saturday..10-20-07. Anyone here care to join in, and get dirty at a great track?
Southwick is also having a practice day on the 20th, and figure many will go there instead....maybe.![]()
After a little research, it seems there is a Transworld Mini race at Crow Hill on Sunday the 21st. That may make the 20th not a good day to be there. Now I'm thinking not to go on the 20th for that reason.
I'd be up for tomorrow Paul if I wasn't already signed up for Southwick this Sunday. Thread is yours Paul.
I don't think minis are allowed on the track on Sat. Check the Crow Hill web page. Sunday will be ALL minis only.
I should be there sunday on my mini if anyone wants to bang bars with me.
What about the 27th? Anyone up for riding then? Might be a little chilly, but it'd be a damn good time. (As long as the dirt isnt frozen by then).
They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

I can't do the 27th, but I'm sure the dirt will be fine. Also decided to go to Southwick practice day on the 20th instead of Crow Hill. After racing Southwick yesterday, I want to go back. Alex..you should come if you can...
I -did- tell my lady that saturday was budgeted for moto time. Southwick seems pretty intimidating though. How far up is that compared to Crow Hill joe?

You mean in travel time? Southwick is just over the border in MA straight up RT10. Takes me one hour to get there from home in Cheshire. Much closer than Crow Hill.
I seems pretty intimidating for sure because it's a large track, and at first you may feel pretty slow on it because of it. But being large with many lines, and great dirt, you will learn a lot by the end of the day if you so choose. Go to Crow Hill after that, and you should notice a change in how you mentally, and physically attack that track. Besides...if you've never ridden on a track of national caliber, you gotta try it at least once. Come on up, and I'll show you some lines. That 520 will work fine....
My lady may try it once if the beginner class isn't too crowded for her. She's still learning, so she may not. We'll see.
have you tried jumping out at 13,000 yet? That's my new addiction.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
You could always try Ultralights Paul. My uncle builds and flies them. He uses old two-stroke snowmobile engines. Fits in a pickup/trailer. Easy to fly. Doesn't go 200mph though.
Joe, I'll PM you later. I may be able to swing Southwick this weekend. I won't be in anything other than beginner either, so if your fiancee needs someone to lap....edit: Mark, I'll let you know. Your more than welcome to rip on the 520 too if you'd like.

But here's the dirt on this Saturday's dirt....
Southwick open practice..Saturday, Oct 20th. 9-5pm. $30. per person.
All levels(youth-expert) Last practice of season. Weather permitting.
Being an early riser, out of habit I will most likely be there by 8:00am myself in hopes to get a decent place to park, have time mellow, snak, and prep bikes. Hope to see some of you guys there....

[QUOTE=Paul_E_D;425421]Wow, Last time I was at Southwick, it ran counterclockwise. Is it an entirely different track now?
