    Opening dates ? Rockyhill ? Crowhill ?

Im assuming rockyhill would be the first one to open since their 2 hours south from where I am.

Anyone out there know how their track is looking ? when they expect to open ?

Pretty sure they are on a floodplain and end up opening a lot later than you would think. Check their website. Not sure about crow hill either. I would imagine that 207 is getting closer with the weather lately.

Still solid snow cover here in Waterboro so a couple weeks at LEAST for MX207. Once I can see bare ground or hear an opening date I'll be sure to post up.

Yep, Rockyhill opens late due to its location next to the river. Crow Hill is the first place open, but they are below a swamp. They DID improve drainage a lot last year though, so it may not be as soupy as years past.

The rules are whatever the old guy who works there says.

I bought a brand new 09 RMZ450 and like the 3rd time he told me the exhaust was too loud and that I can't rev the RPM's to redline...... Im like wtf

Thats why I nevver goto crowhill anymore but rather mx207. Cost me an extra $30 + hour and 30 minutes of extra driving but the freedom is nice.

I totally understand they're a business , and making excessive noise will bother the neighbors and run the risk of shutting down the business however it was a brand new....2009 bike......... with a STOCK EXHAUST......it was absolute bullshit. And like I said, they lost ALOT of business from me as I usually go there 2x a week. and take a lot of friends with me.

I'd rather buy an FMF Q exhaust than have my local track close. Re-packing your exhaust is only around $8.00.
Nothing against you dude, but that sounds more like a Suzuki problem than a Crow Hill problem.

Re: Opening dates ? Rockyhill ? Crowhill ?

A few months ago, NETRA warned their members that RMZ250's routinely fail their sound tests. Suzuki should get on the ball with noise concerns, like Yamaha has. If not, the responsibility falls on their customers to make their bikes tolerable.
IMO - If you want to ride, it is not that big a deal. Buy an FMF-Q and keep everybody happy.

As I said before it was a brand new Bike. You evidently skipped that part when you mentioned " packing is only $8.00" Hence it wouldn't need to be packed as its already.......packed.

My point is the rules are subjective, not objective as stated on the site.

ALL 4 strokes are loud stock, period. I never even rode my 450 with the stock pipe. Bought an FMF Factory 4.1 system because it had a quiet insert. Several of the (private) tracks in my area require them to ride because the neighbors bitch too much.

    Yes... the MT.

Last year they were running the following on the track all at once:

    KTM dual sport w/license plate.
    Suzuki QUAD.
    3 YZ250's
    2 RM250's
    Couple 'unknown' 2-strokes.
Some kids on 125's and 80's.
And a couple of ROUGH vintage bikes.

So... It's hard to believe they'd give me any guff...

I did re-pack the muffler on my MT... it is loud... but nothing over chain-saw.

i'm always amazed how loud the Honda 4-strokes are at the track, especially the dual-can models.

love that my Husky 250 is whisper quiet in comparison, even with the MX 'race' pipe on it (came with 2 Arrow pipes)

a quad at Crow Hill? i thought they totally stopped that 3 or 4 seasons ago?

as long as your bike is in good mechanical working order and visually tight, i doubt they would give you any grief...

although, i have a feeling you'll want a modern MX bike after your first day

Just walked around my house, still a solid foot or more of heavy, wet snow everywhere. MX207 should be doing better as they get more sunlight but I think they'll still be at least two weeks out.

The Uxbridge track is much more accepting of loud bikes.

I went there last year to check out an early Saturday run... there were about 15 bikes on the track with 1 quad. It was kinda nuts... I left soon after. A buddy of mine who went later that day said the quad got kicked out til later on when there would be less traffic.

i think the last time they let quads run was back when R7 and a bunch of others had a NESR-day out there... prob back in '06 or so? i remember seeing pics but hadnt met any of you yet.

not saying you didn't see one there, Danny500, just really surprised to hear it because CH seemed to all of a sudden flip to the right way of thinking and not allow them on track anymore

    oh, HI SQUIRREL

    oh, HI SQUIRREL
There is actually a super hot girl who lives around there and rides a sport quad. If this girl pulled up to your track, you would let her ride anywhere she wanted.
