http://www.mototownusa.com <--- check out new website
Word on the street (not on website yet..) is that Mototown will be doing up Day Passes! Think they'll be in the $50 range + $5 for day Insurance. $55 isn't bad when you consider a ski lift ticket is $60+ and when you SEE Mototown you'll be like 'wow...' It's a very impressive facility and hey.. you can ride at night and during the middle of a snowstorm.
I rode there today for over 1.5 hours and had a ball. My 2nd time hitting up the track and this time I was able to dial up the difficulty level a notch. You can hit pretty much all the jumps / rythem sections a few ways.. from easy to insane gaps. Was pretty sweet to start hitting some of the harder lines and larger jumps, cept the consequences when you don't land it so good are obviously more severe!
Anyhow, I think a NESR Mototown Ride Day should be in the works a few times over the winter..Just turn up your compression damping and bring your balls with you.

Maybe i'll buy HalfSquid's balls afterall... they may be a downgrade, but 4 balls of any size are better than two![]()

It had to be a matter of time before they start selling day passes. They're also having ATV practice days there as well now.![]()

Hey! I've got a great idea! Lets build a multi million dollar facility away from a major population base and limit our already small target demographic by pricing our selves out of the market!!!!
Serioiusly I'm glad they are going to a day pass system. It will bring in many more riders and likley will result in far more memberships. I grew up watching several Skater parks fail useing the same formula they started with. I'd be down for some Motododo action.... I ain't sceeeerd
More good news. You really don't have to clean your bike after Mototown.. sweet. Skip the wash and filter ritual for once.

I would love to try this place. I have never been on a track except some bmx tracks as a teen.
Count me in. Hopefully I will be around sometime this winter to try it.
Who can coach me about what to do on the coarse.
Pete I am keeping my balls, I'll need them to get serious air at this place this winter!

Yea I definintely liked $55 better than $75 but I can handle 2 or 3 times a month this winter methinks. Still in the realm of a day of skiing and I also realized I'd plop down $70 for a Penguin Halfday Friday after a $150 Loudon Thursday without blinking. Then another $500 for 2 days of racing / fees / tires.Originally posted by Paul_E_D
That's starting to get pricey, but I'll give a go sometimme this winter...![]()
and Motocross sure is as much fun for a hell of a lot cheaper![]()
So when's our first afterwork midweek ride day!
