Has anyone here ever taken a dirt bike/offroading class? Do those even exist out here? I am going to South America in January and want to do some trail riding while i'm down there, but i don't want to crash and die in a rainforest or something. I wanna take a dirt riding class but wasn't able to find much info out here. if there aren't any (or maybe it's just too damn cold this time of year) i might wait till i go back to CA for the holidays and take a class there: http://www.motoschool.com/
edit: oops i meant to post this in the dirty section

Just get an old one
crash get up
crash get up
hit a tree get up
stuck in a creek fall down get up pump it
crash loose your keys in a swamp
Ride in the woods get shot by a deer hunter
crash ride home with a dislocated something
Look into NETRA.org may still be some enduro's or turkey runs for nervous novice.
crash get helped up
most dirt clubs would have someone willing to be there with words of enlightenment while you crash and get up.
There's only one lesson.
When in doubt gas it !

Just like riding the street except MORE crashing. If you want to train we can just go for a walk in the woods and I can push you down every once in a while.![]()
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

There is a MSF dirtbike course.
However, it is offered in only a few states as the economics of it for the course sponsor like Joe at Ironstone make it impossible to actually make money doing it.
It's a really fucked up system. It was looked at out here in western Mass by PV Riders but they came to the same conclusion as Ironstone - if it can't at least support itself then why do it.
