Hey now.....sweet toy.![]()
Awesome ride dude, that thing's mint!
Yeah it's pretty mint. Stole it pretty much. Frikin college kid. I show up at his folks place cuz he's at school. Negotiated the price over the phone with him and the he sent me to his folks house. Lives in Medfield, nice big ass house, Audi Suv in the garage, 07 1000rr 80 miles, 06 600rr 800 miles, and dad's got a FZ1. These folks were not hurting for the cash. The bikes in a nice trailer all outfitted for hare scrambles. I took one look at it and said "load it up". The old man asks if I wanna hear it run. I said no. Basically I wanted to give him the chump change I negotiated with the kid at school and get the hell outa there before the old man realized how little I was paying for this MINT bike.
I looked at about 6 bikes over the weekend and this one was the cream puff I was looking for. I have never owned a KTM but from what I have talked to folks about they OWN the woods.
I can't wait to ride it.

MA street plate*:
- confirm with a certified m/c inspection shop that they will provide you with a statement to present to the RMV saying your bike will pass the safety inspection as equipped, if you do install the required equipment
- go get the lights and stuff & install it, then get the statement from the shop
- bring that statement, along with receipt(s) for the safety equipment added and the Certificate of Origin, to your nearest RMV office, and demand they issue you a plate
*disclaimer: I have not accomplished this feat personally, but it worked for a friend's YZ last summer. Getting the lights to function on a mx smoker is the expensive part.
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
KB lives in NH. In my town I just walked in with the CO (that had stamped in big red letters, 'NOT INTENDED FOR HIGHWAY USE. FOR OFF-ROAD USE ONLY), told her I needed a plate to get it inspected. 'Not so fast, mister! You need to fill out a title application too!' Walked out 5 minutes later with a plate and the title reg was off to the state. Got the clean title back in exactly 2 weeks...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
