The thought has crossed my mind. Would be a nice way to practice my riding skills without fear of large stupid objects (aka cages). But that would mean a whole new set of gear...not sure I have that kind of available $$$

Also, question for the dirt riders, what do you do if you don't have a truck/trailer? You can't ride the things on the street, right? Seems like a pain in the ass getting the bike to places you can ride it....

not true. i got stopped 8 times on my dirtbike by cops over the last three years. 3 for riding up and down my street, the other 5 for riding at some sandpits where i guess bikes arent allowed. (like they use it for anything else?) no cars, but quads are just as slow and ugly :
