Looking at the calendar, it looks like August 15th is the first open Saturday at MX 207, assuming they open as NESC is running on Sunday. The next opening is Aug 29/30, but BoMo is doing Supermoto in NY Sunday, so that may not work for some people? Most of September looks to be open for either Saturday or Sunday.
15th - VIR AMA
29th - Open (unless someone is going to Indy MotoGP)
30th - Minimotard race at Loudon

Don't mind the fact it's currently listing August 30th in VT.

Planning early works for me too. Any of the dates will work for me as far as I know.
there is an mx race I might do on the 15th, other than that I should be good

Which race/where on the 15th?
Hmmmm that might be fun. I've been there a few times for the open practices. Pretty mellow track unless they've changed it in the last year or so.
ya that date is the mx I believe which should be the same as last year. They change the sx across the street every year.

which skill level are we talking about? will it be ok for beginners?
pretty much all of these tracks have racing for novices through pros so yes, in short you can be beginner and have fun/ride at all these tracks. The main thing is being careful on some of the bigger jump faces, just making sure you slow down enough to roll them if you aren't jumping a big table or double jump so you don't slow down too late and endo...come on out!

MX207 is a really safe track. Like Seth said, the first time out slow WAY down before you get to the jump faces. 207 is mostly tables, and you can come up short without any real problems. There are a few doubles though where coming up short could be painful. But all of them can be rolled safely (trust me, I've ridden there several times and I'm not very good).
If it's one of the days on a Sunday, I'm in![]()

great video! now I'm psyched to go![]()
thanks for the beginner tips, it looks like I should be fine. I also noticed that intermediate and pro riders could spot me from a mile away and knew how to pass me safely, so I'm a little less worried about taking people out. As for rolling jumps, I nearly endo'd on my 2nd lap over a little jump, so I learned rather quickly, to slow down first![]()
i'll keep an eye on this thread, looks like a fun track!
theres a few MX Nationals coming up so not sure i can join for the dates posted. Aug 15 is Unadilla and Aug 29 is Southwick.

absolutlely. there are some really nice jumps but everything can be rolled. you can take it easy or hit them as hard as you want.
if you're a beginner the only thing you need to worry about is keeping your line so the faster riders can make it around you.
its mainly the only track i ride. i absolutely love it.
here's a cheesy little vid of me out in the back section a few weeks ago.
