I'm heading to the Ammonoosuc River turkey run Saturday and Sunday.

Trail-oriented dual sport ride. Plated bikes but most will be <500cc. Everyone leaves the start at their leisure over about an hour. Route has course arrows and you are issued a route sheet. The route loops back to the start. Mixture of trail, dirt roads, and some road to connect them all. The hardest sections are marked with ways to skip them.
Great way to gain experience. Youll feel like you fell down some stairs when youre done though![]()

I rode Clough today with a buddy. The NH trails people are out on the trails with a dozer, skid steer, and a grader, fucking shit up. It's not terrible, just a lot of loose material on some of the trails now so the front wants to wash out. Maybe the rain will help things out.
aiming for HVD sunday. I hope!

Anyone riding Clough tomorrow?
Rode Saturday. Long day. Put 3 hours on the clock.
You single track guys here at Clough or I call it Hopkingtin/Everett, do you not enjoy the burrs in the 4 trails that are for quads too? I love that shit. Backing it into the burr’s and accelerating out of them is a blast! The single track gets pretty difficult for someone coming from these trails. Is there somewhere to ride that is a step down to the single track here? Looking for a place to ride that can lead up to these difficult trails.

Alden, Aria ... looks like we're hitting Wrentham Saturday around 11. gonna try to follow the King Philip Turkey Run loop, i have it mapped.

I broke a subframe bolt last weekend, and just broke off a drill bit in it last night trying to extract the remains. Need to get that fixed before I commit to anything. Was thinking of doing the Hare Scramble in RI Sunday, but if I get the bike back together maybe I might be tempted to ride both![]()

Fix bike, do laundry, ride till it hurts, repeat. I'm reluctant to spend time or money on cosmetics but the seat and plastics are starting to look pretty beat. Probably gonna need a little love soon.
I'm not planning on going, but there's the Crowhill Jday on Sunday as well. Wait..... take the kids there to spectate.

Riding Clough Saturday late morning, silver GMC, black trailer, KTM 500.
Anyone heading down to Hatfield McCoy this fall? Heading back down there in the beginning of October. We're pretty well set up with tools and spares, and usually ride Rock House and Bear Wallow.
awesome session today, thanks for leading, Alden! will zap you the GPS ... i’d like a repeat next wknd![]()

How long is that loop?

Couldn't have had better conditions. I ended up getting a tour after you guys left. There's a way to connect what we were looking at, and that can be done as part of a larger lap.
We rode 25mi, but it's not one single loop. Kind of a collection of 3 different areas.

sweet you got a tour! i will send you both GPS routes so you can see how the NETRA loop differed from what we usually do. it might leverage some of what you learned on the tour. they really zig-zag'd that side together to make it longer. i'm loving the stuff on opposite side of tubes, need to figure that side out.

Good rip for sure.
We definitely missed a few sections that I remember from the NETRA loop last year.
Most of it was on the parking lot side.
Can’t wait to go back.
Directly across from the parking lot. I have a GPX log of it. I gotta get up on mapping tools. Any recommendations? You or Clinton want a copy?
Their turkey run is coming up again and I'll probably ride it if it's dry. But probably a good time to mention that they often get permission for the event to use trails that otherwise are not usually allowed.

Just did my first hare scramble in a while. Had a little tip over in the first minute of the race and somehow broke my front brake lever, despite guards. Probably need to keep the master's clamp a little looser. I figured going in to turns at speed was going to be sketchy with out a front brake, but turns out the real problem is trying not to run people over. Some of the riders can keep pace on the straights but clamp the brakes when it gets interesting. The woodchopper trails were amazing. Flow with roots - just the way I like itLearned some shit. Shoulda been more aggressive in my start. Good practice on spotting new lines.

That wood chopper course is sweet.
