I'm trying to whip together a flattrack school day at OVRP possibly on Nov 17th. Instructor/host is PJ Jacobson (World Superbike racer). We did it last year and had a blast. Need a bike with rains or flattrack tires. Minis are fine. I'll be on Kerry's 150. Cost depends on number of participants. somewhere near 150rings a bell from last year . probably ride from 10:30 til dark. I only have a few people on board right now. 6-12 would be the ideal. Let me know if you want in!
Are we going to ride 2 up or will I get my own laps?? I am in!!

Ping Ben Gloddy as I bet he'll be in and can get some others interested if you need more numbers.
Uhm, where is OVRP?
I’d be in if it were Sunday. Have plans with the wife and I’d like to stay married........until at least I win the lottery.
I’m really looking for something like this too. Great Idea Paul.

Have always wanted to try flat track. I have a 2018 kx450. Anybody have a flat track set up? Or know what I would need to be able to participate?

I have a friend who is into flat track camps and is interested. He’s going to reach out to a couple other flat track guys and see if they are interested.

Perfect. Put him in touch. I need to get a solid head count to make this happen. People who hesitated and bailed were bummed to miss it last year. It was so much fun. We rode a bunch of drills that were challenging and fun. Turned a ton of laps on a perfect track, and did a fun race at the end of the day.
for me

I mean, just for the day could I get away with throwing a set of dt3's on my stock size rims and giving it a go?
Yes. 2018 kx450f. Has 19" rear stock rim. So I could just slap a tie on that and go, for the front it's a 21" so I'll have to search around and see what I can find. Worst case I buy a 19" rim. I'd also like to get set up for Ice racing so I'll have to do some research on popular tire/rim combos.
