I think out of all riders, Henry would be my 'hero' if you wanna use that word. I used to love when I was racing 80s and watching him and Dowd when they would be off the nationals and come ride nesc.
This podcast is cool and he talks about his injury/mx career and even brough up The Woods/Penguin racing saying they pushed him in the fast supermoto sections due to riding with them at loudon![]()

Aha I'm 30 and ya nema was around for just youth riding I think. I signed up for nesc cuz an expert buddy that practiced at same spots said it would be the best competition. Man I still remember how nervous I was that first gate

I hear ya Seth. My first race was NESC at Southwick. I'd been riding all of two months or so. My buddy that got me into riding was pretty competitve in NESC AM at that point, said "come on down, you can race the novice class, you'll be fine." Typical Southwick day -- 90s, sunny, whoops deep enough that they'd be considered doubles at normal tracks. I still haven't forgiven Steve.
