WTC2015USA Anyone going to this? I've never seen these guys for real, just some indoor demo stuff at bike shows. I would guess you just walk around the woods checking out the gnarliest obstacles sorta like a scramble? Looks badass, I'll be there Sunday.

I had no idea it was going on, definitely would have checked it out.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
Future tense, it's next weekend.
I'm probably gonna go Saturday with RTR.

Should be epic. The worlds best. The Russis and dungeys of trials One town over from me but unfortunately, I can't make either day. Maybe I can check out some practice on Friday.
These are the best of the best trials riders in the world. If I didn't have commitments, I'd be there.

I'll be there Sunday to watch, I was told get there early and put on your walking shoes. I went last time they were here in the 1999-2000 range...amazing to watch

Thanks for the heads up! It's been years since going to watch a Trials competition.
Watching riders move through the course resets your view off your own skills.
I have a sinking feeling this could cost me more than a parking fee.
Like the cost of a used trials bike.

Anybody care to venture a guess as to how kid friendly this might be/not be? We might invite friends who live nearby with small kids, but the walking shoes comment makes me think that may not be good idear if they're just going to be tired and cranky after an hour of walking, sweating and swatting bugs.
I'll also be there on Sunday. Doing the Giro on Saturday and it ends at the ranch where the trials are so if you are around and like old, small bikes, there will be a bunch of them showing up probably around 3:30 or 4!

My girlfriend and I are planning to go Saturday.
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
This was a fantastic time.
Probably the best moto spectating event I've ever been to.
Paul, I saw the rig, but no giro bikes had come through by 430 when Rebecca and I left, we hadda come back and walk the pup.
Rtr was stoked too, cheering and clapping like a boss. She's not afraid of bikes anymore, now we just have to warn her up to meeting new people.

It was absolutely one of the best moto spectator events I've attended. I got some KILLER pics. Will post some up later! Oh, and riding the Giro was a blast! What I learned: it is way harder to adapt to right hand shift than say GP shift for example, bikes were much better "all arounders" back in the 60s. My Benelli 250 single handled everything the course could throw at me with ease. Tight, bumpy roads, check, fast sweepers, check, steep sandy dirt roads, check, potato sized river stones, check, short highway stints at 70mph, check. Agility tests, hmmm, not so good. But I'll forgive the little beast. It can't do EVERYTHING.
so bummed I missed this... and Paul, that sounds like a blast! pics of both events, please![]()
