I get an email from my buddy on Thursday about riding this weekend.
I was unsure since I had just interned for 13 hours straight on Friday, and had to work Saturday, but somehow I was up on Saturday by 7:30am lubing the chain and topping off the gas.
It was still a little swampy from the rain we got 1-1/2 weeks ago, but it was still a fun day of riding nonetheless
I on the 2000 XR200R and my friend was out with his 2009 YZ250F.
We rode the unpaved roads from end to end to see the limits of the trails, then hooked into some of the single track until we got back to the truck.
On the way back I felt like my back brake had no resistance. It was then I realized that I got into a fight with a tree and lost:
oh hey, there's the brake lever!
we went back to the truck to fix it, with no help from Cody:
after bending the lever back into place we were ready to go out again:
It didn't seem like there were a lot of trails out there, until we met up with another rider who showed us the rail bed and some tight, windy, single track.
We then did a quick beaver pond loop and called it a day. Thanks to Howard and the guy on the KTM for showing us around.
the King Philip Trail Riders association was also out there doing trail maintenance
good day![]()
