Hello Everyone,
I am currently working for a local company and we are in the midst of making a motocross game. I cannot divulge too many details but we need some help from you dirty bastards that are within 20 mile radius of Boston.
What we need is for our sound engineer to come to your place so that he can record about 5 minutes of engine sounds. Ideally it would be nice to have you mount the recorder to your bike and take it for a run so that we could get all the sounds as you gear up, down etc.
We would need to be using a 125 or 250 cc bike for this recording as we can always turn the pitch down to emulate the smaller bikes.
If anyone is willing to help us with this it would be much appreciated.
you can reach me via PM here at which time I will provide my phone number.
Thanks

I could help if you wanted to meet at a track. Will be riding in Maine on Monday and possibly NH on Saturday

I just talked to the sound engineer and what he needs is pure engine sounds.
The sound of a bike going around a track would be icing on the cake but he just needs someone to hold the bike at low, mid, high rpm. I know there are no gauges but just a constant engine noise sample would work.
Also if you could be stationary on dirt and do a burnout so that it kicks a bit of dirt that sample would work too.
No track necessary but would be icing! If the track in Epping is dirt he might be able to make it there on Saturday he will let me know by the end of the day.
Remember, a bike under load sounds a shit-ton different than a bike rev'ing in neutral.

Ok my co-worker will be there. He will be the guy going around the track taking sound samples. Feel free to introduce yourself, his name is Ed. He may ask you to put the recorder in your pants pocket for a few laps if you would not mind doing so.
He just called the track and they said it should be fine but they have to check on the liability issues with him being near the track.
