cliffs notes:
The board also voted in favor of welcoming a 69,000-square-foot motocross arena on Maple Street.
MX 365 Motocross Arena, developed by R.J. Cobb Land Clearing, will be built on a 4.6-acre parcel at 169 Maple St.
Developers said the soundproof building will be open 24/7, but riders will not be allowed to load or unload their bikes between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.
MX 365 will allow 20 bikes on the track at once and encourage riders to store their bikes at the facility.
The sound of motorcycles will be "inaudible" at the nearest home, engineers said.
Strict rules were also presented to the board last night, including "zero tolerance" for alcohol, drugs, tobacco and littering.
All riders must obtain a membership and gain access through a card swiping system.
The developer will offer $15,000 for traffic mitigation, they said last night.
The board voted in favor of both plans and will draw up draft decisions to be formally signed at its next meeting on Nov. 13.

Yeah this is sweet! Anyone have a figure for a yearly membership? I wonder how long the 24/7 thing will work. I mean you have to pay someone to be there with people riding right? If they are open I will come

what I don't like is they are encouraging you to store your bike at their facility. How safe is this going to be? Who will have access to them? I mean my bike is a piece of shit, but I still don't want some kid twisting the throttle, playing with the levers, knocking it over...
Sweet... I'll bring my 50.

It seems pretty steep for a membership. 2500 a year for platinum and 1500 a year for gold. You get some discounts and for the 2500 a year you get free bike storage but I dont see that price structure working out. I know Im not going to pay 1500 a year for maybe the 5 or 6 times I might ride there. If it were something I did every day then maybe but it still costs 35 for a 12 hour weekday to ride with the membership. Ill pay my 55 non member fee for those 5 or 6 times and still be up by 1380 for the year
yeah, that is pretty steep. wonder if that will change in the future.

Is this place really going to open at the end of this month?
As of October 23, 2009 the website says "under development". Under construction would be better. Maybe locals know more. Locals?
