    Dirt Riding Gear

Where do you guys buy from?
My gear is a bit ragged from the last 2 years of falling over, looking for new pants/jerseys, etc..

I always look for places (sites) that offer packages. They usually have different 'levels' of packages too. Some'll be just pants & jersey, some'll have pants, jersey & boots, some packages are full-meal deals...

    Rocky Mountain ATV, Chapparel, etc...

I buy shit on closeout when a big deal pops up. Outdated stuff, that doesn't have the 2011 coolest pattern and all-star number. Till the deals come along, I run my shit ragged.

Yeah, package deals are what I'm looking for. Don't need boots/helmet, those are still in one piece.

Rocky Mountain, motorcyclecloseouts, motorcycle superstore to name a few.

They always have good closeouts...like really good. Get on their email lists, they don't send out too too many emails, I feel like its 1-2 a week.

A lot of good guys on here as well with used gear, I've picked up quite a bit in the for sale thread.

I use Noel and Sheppo. I used to buy the shit online, but I've found that the 1 on 1 service and whatnot is worth the extra few bucks.

same here. Motorcycle-Superstore, Motosport, MotorcycleCloseouts, BikeBandit, DennisKirk, eBay... usually some really great deals in the Closeout sections or for older design styles.

    cool.
I'll check the closeouts, I certainly don't need the latest designs. The less attention I attract to myself while going over the handlebars, the better.

Yeah, I shoulda said that too. It's fairly obvious I'm not out to win any style competitions, so I always go with the outdated stuff too...

I buy most from my local dealer. Nothing like one on one talk and being able to try the stuff on..or if something happens, to be able to bring it back. I've also found that if asked, they have outdated stuff in stock but not in the showroom. I've also found that if asked, they will give a discount and the prices will be similar to online stuff. Maybe I'm just lucky and have a great dealer to deal with?

or it could be the hundreds of thousands you have spent on bikes in the last 20 years or so at that dealer

I have done well in the closeout section on rocky mountain atv , jerseys in the $10 range , goggles $8-$10 pants in the $30 range .

it depends on when you catch it , keep an eye out .

    Re: Dirt Riding Gear

wow, no joke...rockymountatv has jerseys starting at $15.99 right now...and if you want to go cheaper, you can get one for under $10 shipped on fleabay (unsure if they're new though)

pants start at $24.99 and ebay/google shopping is about the same...

so if fleabay and rockymountain clearance are close to the same price, I vote just buying closeout at rockymountain because at least you'll get your size right...
