Raced Southwick this weekend at with ACR for the first time in about 20 years. I forgot what a cool place it is to race. To boot the ACR guys who run the vintage stuff are very nice to deal with - super easygoing and helpful. Lots of bikes out there from the 70's, 80's and 90's - plus if you ran a vintage class you got to run a modern class as well. I'd highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to have a good time riding MX in a low key atmosphere. Now, I've just got to get more seat time on the 86 KX500 beast that I rode so that we can try to win next time!

Ya know, if you want extra Southwick practice... there is always Stimilon...![]()
What we really need here (in Southwick) is someone to step up as new promoter and save/bring back the AMA National MX.
If that doesn't happen, who knows how long amateur events will continue to run...there are more and more McMansions being built within noise distance of the track and not many are owned by motorcycle racers or fans.
