I'll likely go clip, just hadn't seen a clip from a mfg before. Even my dinky CRF70 was a rivet link, non-oring chain.
I've got clip style masters on most of my dirty stuff. Track toy too. Dab of silicon on the clip and we haven't had a problem yet.
When in woods trim my WR is rocking two clip masters!
Nope. Not had that pleasure... yet.
Another Saturday in the dirt, conditions at MX101 were PERFECT yesterday. The rain the day before meant the track never needed to be watered but was also never muddy, and the cool temps meant no overheating, much. Good times with a bunch of Boxshop regulars once again. I may or may not have gotten the bike pointing straight up and down jumping a tabletop... bike handled it just fine, also cased the everloving shit out of a couple doubles but again the bike just soaked it up and I'm "this close" to clearing them now. 3rd needs to be tapped to do it I think, or 4th in the meat of the power, 2nd tapped just comes up short. Got a ton of pointers, my form and body position on the bike SUCK and correct form feels SO WEIRD. When I do get it right, I almost fall in the corners 'cause the bike suddenly rotates MUCH quicker. Lots of learning to do, and still 2.4 hours of run time left before the manual says I can go WOT.
bummed we couldn't join, no moto-fun this wkndhit the BMX park instead yesterday ... how late in the season does 101 stay open?

I was starting to figure that out yesterday, still haven't adapted to the power curve on it yet but learning. I'm starting to get used to fanning the clutch to bring the revs up when it'd be worse to downshift, etc. Slowly getting there.
As to MX101/207/etc, I think they all pretty much go until the track actually freezes or people stop showing up. I'm hoping to get one more day in if I can, I'm tied up next week so it'll be Nov 9th or 10th if the weather cooperates.
So, what am I doing wrong when the bike wanted to ride up and push out of ruts/soft loam out of corners? (No, I've not set sag yet so likely setup is off too. I don't have a cool sag tool and haven't had time to talk my wife into playing in the garage for an evening yet.)
It can be not looking through the turn, being too tight on the bars, not staying on the throttle, or bike geo has too much rake to it. Which is usually sag, or fork height. But can be weird clicker set ups too.
Based on what you're saying about falling in to the turns, that usually means the geo is right or too steep. Struggling with ruts *and* falling in to turns is cutting the throttle.
