Nice save, I had a similiar one yesterday but ended up slipping off on the shore of the puddle and getting just a little wet(er).
I'm amazed at the water holes at pachaug a lot of them are just flooded rock gardens so you have to be ready for a bumpy ride through the water ,
believe it or not the hole we avoided was longer and deeper
(thats what she said ).

matt (lateapex) rides w/ us sometimes. i think that particular group of ktm's and that 650l passed by a group of d/s'ers i was leading the weekend b4 last. i had fun keeping up till the next intersection where i had to wait for the slower ppl i was with. good times. keep tabs on the boston/cambridge ds thread on adv.
Is that the same water hole I had trouble with 2 weeks ago, or is that the water hole I went swimming in last spring on the KTM?
Yamaha
yup thats the one, only you got hung up in the first 1/2 I got caught in the second half looks like the prefered line all the way through that one is to the right side . But yes it was deeper than last time.

where/when do you guys go ? I'd love to join ya.
That looks like fun.
Nice save!
As you might already know, I hate getting wet on dirt rides... especially early in the ride!
Picked up a new to me KTM450 dual sport... looking to get back into riding dirtier trails than the KLR was comfy doing.
Weather is looking perfect for Wednesday - hoping to get out there and get comfortable on a big bore off-road bike again (used to have a Yam WR450).
Took the KTM for a quick spin on some power lines and was reminded just how powerful these things are.
Fortunately, the KTM suspension is nicely tuned for the woods.![]()
Why not do the Travis Pastrana thing:
