Just grabbed a goproHD. It's really impressive. I can't even watch the hd clips on my computers because the graphics cards suck...
Here's a youtube hackjob (quality got killed) of a few laps around my practice spot. Sorry for the weak sauce riding... I'm still rusty.

Nice!
I have a new found obsession with MX starting last weekend. How are you guys with visitors out there? And beginner friendly at all?
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
We hate visitors and we bbq beginners for lunch. JK, i'll be arranging for a few ride days with grillin and beers afterwards. Stay tuned.
The track is very easy to roll around slowly, but the sand will reach up and grab you. Trying to go fast is where this track gets interesting... and a little dangerous now.
Yea woo!! Looks mad fun. Whoops look awesome/brutal. Needs 1 or 2 more jumps thou. Man GoPro action is sweet.
Boston --> San Diego
There's actually another section with a steep climb/descent, a berm chicane, and a big double, but there was a sucking mud hole making it a real pain to ride. It should be dry this week. The full circuit is going to be SIIICK.
The gopro is very impressive. The quality on my wide screen laptop is stunning. Can't wait to get some dicing action this year.
camera and track both look good!
the riding is mediocre...
...compared to a pro. Next to me you make it looks like fun instead of work.
I wanted to do a go-pro of my trails, have to take the mount of the Z and throw it on my helmet, what mount did you use for your helmet?
I used a curved sticky mount with the 90 degree arm pointed down. Camera upsidedown.
Here's a few scenes from my commute...

Beautiful country, but flat.

sweet, I can't wait to go back there when it isn't swamped out. Really reminds me of my highschool practice spots but they were mostly open sandpits with crazy whoops, not many trees. Not my most fun type of riding but really awesome practice.

Its totally dry now... but I'm leaving for a vacay and will miss out on the next two weekends. It'll probably rain anyway!
The bridge is awesome and it only recently popped above the waterline. The creek next to the track is still dicey to cross. It's not deep, but the bottom is like quicksand!
The new section of track will now be called the gravity cavity. There is a steep climb up onto a ridge that's maybe 25 ft above the track. you turn along the spine and drop back down. It's literally vertical with a root at the top to act as a kicker if you try to roll it. You just have to burp it off the edge and freefall almost to the bottom. Sooo much fun, but not a traditional MX scenario.
I got some footage, but I was struggling like hell as the super dry sand wasn't offering much traction. This kid I saw throwing flat whips last week was there and he was decidedly more conservative today. He said it was bit like skating.
The whoops are getting brutal. Maybe bigger/tougher than before they redid the track! No more free ride. You gotta earn your turns now.
sweet! so where is the new section in relation to the standard sandy part? do they connect?

OK, now I'm having flashbacks to Southwick. Looks like a lot of fun.

cool. dying to get a session in. rear sprocket and chain arrived today, gotta snag a CS sprocket (out of stock) and some oil then get to work: new bars, bar mount bushings, chain + sprockets, airfilter, oil + filter, front tire, basic checks.... and i'm good. ugh.

sweet, my yz is an amputee right now but once I get my suspension back and my ankle works I am there!

it's so-so but MUCH better than a few months ago. i was supposed to hit PT for 6-8wks but got absolutely slammed with work and skipped outtook it easy for a while, felt better and started light workouts on the elliptical recently.
kinda nervous to feel what happens when i finally get on the big bike but ripping around the yard on the mini and riding the motard dont really bother me. yard work has been OK too.
the lightning pains down my leg have turned more into dull pain and only happen once in a while. getting up from a bent position no longer takes 'steps' to make it fully vertical. weird that when i get pain i can exhale to help it. like exhale, stand up.

Looks like a great track.
