I know you Stimilon'ers got the email... anyone going? Tim B is signed up... pretty sure I'm going to as well, just need to figure out work schedule.
Friends
If you all will indulge me, I am trying to distract myself by easing back to work. Thank you all for the support during this time.
This should have gone out yesterday. I apologize for the delay.
You are getting this email because you attended one of our Stimilon events in the past and therefor are one of the the first to find out about a very special Ride Day to kick off the 2015 season. We will be the first to ride the NEW 'Wick 338 on Saturday March 28th - 1 week before the season begins!
This is a Limited Entry Event
As all Holeshot Radio Ride Days are. This is to insure that if you get in, you will have a quality experience. We have all been to other ride days where they let anybody and EVERYBODY in where the ride time and quality suffers. Not ours. We will be limiting each group to 40 riders.
Here is how we are doing it for March 28th:
There will be two sessions - morning and afternoon. Each session will have three groups of 40 riders. Each group will ride once per hour for four hours. We will launch each session on the 20 minute mark. So for example the morning session will launch at 9am, 920, 940, and then start over again at 10, etc
The Sessions will go like this:
Morning
Check in 8-9a (sign waiver, get wristbands)
Riding 9-1p (timed sessions per group)
Group 1: Kids/Ladies (65a/b, 85, Ladies any size bike) - 40 spots total available
Group 2: Open Nov (125cc and up, Novice) - 40 spots available
Group 3: Vet B/C (over 30, Novice/Amateur recommended*) - 40 spots available
Afternoon
Check in 12-1p (sign waiver, get wristbands)
Riding 1:30 - 530p
Group 4: Open A/B - (125cc and up, Amateur/Expert) - 40 spots available
Group 5: Open Nov (125cc and up, Novice) - 40 spots available
Group 6: Vet A/B (over 30 Amateur/Expert recommended*) - 40 spots available
* Vet riders can sign up for either or both sessions. The morning will be the slower group and the afternoon will be the faster group. We want everyone to be aware of this and respectful of all in your group. You are all Vets, so just play nice and everyone will have a blast.
Pre Registration is strongly recommended
We want to emphasize that this is a ride day - not a race. The rider in front of you has the right of way. We want riders to have fun and be smart - that is why we are limiting entry. You will all get a ton of riding in, but not if you take someone out or get taken out. Ride smart, Enjoy the ride.
The Cost:
- $42 per session if you pre register
- $52 per session if you sign up the day of (if there any spots left)
- yes you can purchase morning and afternoon if you wish
To sign up now and get your spot goto
Stimilon Registration
Conformation emails will go out within 72 hours of sign up. If you do not have a confirmation email, you are not signed up. Please follow directions when signing up - it is easy, even my 8 year old can do it

So pumped for the season to start at the wick! The rain today should help with some more melting!
There is still a foot of snow in my yard...not looking too good for the track to be melted in time. Wonder if they will help it along with the dozer or something? Frost is another issue too
from what I've read, they will dozer the track and plow the pit before the event. a foot of snow? man, wish it was that shallow here!

I doubt that photo is current, although the sand at the track probably is more frost resistant than other soils. I almost drove into the track today to check but didn't. I will try to get in there this week.
There are some spots of ground showing in some farmers fields and stuff...my place is against a mountain so it's always worse here. I'd estimate 6 or 8 inches still on the ground in my yard.
Guess it's time to remove the friction spikes I only used once this winter?
I went by the track today and took a photo but my phone is fighting me about uploading it...Im not very optimistic about conditions for mx by next Saturday...still snow everywhere, and ice. There was a large loader working on it but its not close to rideable, right now. I checked the schedule, nesc is scheduled for the following week and nema the week after, so Im sure they will do what they can...
thanks for the update, pic would be great if you can get it to work.
fingers x'd they can get the place in decent shape. i've got A LOT of rust to shake off... gonna be brutal no matter what![]()

last Stimilon i did was at jolly rogers.. im old![]()
It's postponed one day, till Sunday. Email from the organizers says they hope the one extra day for drainage after the rain will help. Unfortunately for those who didn't pay up already, they also announced that no signups on the day of the event will be offered.
Even my gravel driveway is a mudhole right now...frost underneath keeping it from perc'inf the water off, it seems
Sounds like the last stimilon they had there eh Paul?
