Well, it wasn't 50 degrees, but it was plenty warm for riding indoors today. We had an eventful session to say the least. The track was fun, but not very technical. A few of the doubles/tables were very big. There were 2 tough rhythm sections. I couldn't make either one, though I was super close to getting the smaller one a few times.
In my second outing, a fast guy came by me into a corner, so I followed him through and out into the whoop section. These whoops were pretty big, and few people were topping them all day. Anyhow, between the 2nd and 3rd whoops he gets 90 degrees out of line. Of course, there's no coming back and he highsides in a yardsale spreading across the entire section. I was looking for a tiny hole between him and his bike, but he sat up closing the hole and I hit him square in the back. After a little bit he got up and walked away, but after what I've seen happen at loudon, this upset me quite a bit. Did I target fixate? Why did I follow his line? Aargh!
Anyway, I got back on the horse and had a few decent sets of laps. I was playing it safe as my goal for the day was to NOT crash and/or tweak my shoulder again. So I wasn't going for the big doubles. Mission accomplished. No falls.
Seth, on the other hand was wicking it up a bit in spots. He cleared a big table/triple right over my head, but things went a little wrong in his last session. Sprained ankle at least
Jay and Melissa arrived late, so rode the 2 oclock session. They were making laps when I left.
About how many bikes total while you were there and how were the fumes?
Fumes were strong, but about the same as ever. The session limit is 50. I don't know if our session was full, but at any time there were 10-20 bikes sitting on the sidelines. That means a max of 40 but more likely 20-30 bikes at a time on track. It really wasn't crowded. My incident would have happened even if we were the only 2 on track. It was just one of those things.

That was fun! Driving home now. I was majorly slow and people seemed pretty curteous! Only got clipped once and it was my fault for panicking when i got way more air than intended and stalled on a table when i landed. Our sessions were pretty empty. Maybe 40 in never more than 20 on at a time. Plenty of open track and places to safely pass the slowpoke aka me. Flagger emt guys were the shit too great personalities. Def doing it again. Maybe 4'll even get outta 1st.
ya fun day. Unfortunately as Paul mentioned, I ejected and rolled my ankle hardcore while landing. Track was fun though. Track had a decent amount of riders if you wanted to dice with people but definitely not crowded. I took a few laps with helmet cam so I will post link up when I am done icing my ankle aha.

Sucks about the ankle Seth. Glad you guys had fun, sounds like I'm going to have to get down there soon. Looking forward to the video.....

You can roll an ankle in MX boots?! Damn...
I think I'll stick to what I'm good at, supermans off the back of vintage sidecars, thanks!
That was fun, I was starting to get the hang of it toward the end. I cleared a whole jump like twice. I hurt so bad right now. It'd be much less torture if I cleared jumps but I don't have the balls.
The worker guy made me and Melissa do a race start, He said I took off really well like I knew what I was doing....when I came to a stop and looked back she was still on the line
The sessions weren't crowded at all. Especially late in the day. If we had stayed for another session I think we would have had the track to ourselves. Curteous passing and riding, and the crew was nice.

so i can't take off in 2nd for the life of me. Stalled like 4 times trying. I did ok in first lol. Rode a baby 6in wheelie almost all the way to the line. You were too busy soaring over jumps to see!
haha sweet, glad everyone had fun. I'm saving my gopro movie now and will post a video thread for it (incase others are still wondering what the place looks like currently)
