Just found out there's an ATV ride up The Rock Pile next weekend. Probably gonna be at a fookin' snail's pace, but should be cool just the same. Wunna the ATV 'clubs' I've been riding with set it up I guess...

Sunday Morning July 29, we will again be allowed to ride up the

Mt. Washington Auto Road @ 20.00$ per person, additional $7 per passenger on a manufactured 2-up. Mt. Washington Ride requires a ticket, no one will be allowed up without a ticket, that can be obtained at the base of the mountain / parking lot between 9am and 1pm anyone that shows up after 1pm even if you have a ticket will NOT be allowed up the mountain



NOTE:: Please remember anyone riding up Mt. Washington MUST be a VALID 16 years of age or older Licensed driver and have it on their possession at the time of the ride. ALL ATV’s must be registered in the state of New Hampshire.

I'm planning on leaving my place NO LATER than 7:00 AM, although I'd like to get out a bit earlier. I wanna make sure I'm wunna the first groups up. Anyone interested if I can bring peeps? A semi-drunken night at my place the night before would certainly be in order...

BTW-The club that arranged this gets a permit to do this. I'm pretty sure you don't REALLY need a NH OHRV sticker for this. But I can check if there's any serious interest...

You do need the NH registration. The auto road changed their ATV policy to be in line with NH law requiring a registration...then they closed it off to atv's because of a few a-holes tearing up the road. Glad they're allowing the club to have a ride.

I don't have an ATV...well not one that I'd want to be seen on anyway but I might ride the KLR over.

The way I've heard it was you don't need one if the club your going with has pulled the proper permits. I thought I read the organizer telling someone from outta state that he wouldn't REALLY need one...

Probably no "dirt bikes", but as long as you've got a street plate, it should be all good.

was that with the sullivan county club ? I'm going to join that . we just moved up here , and I just got a quad . I've been riding around the claremont /Unity area . Is that where you ride ?

I saw it on atvalliance.com. Can't say for sure which club arranged it or if it was a group effort. Reckon there's a lot of clubs gonna be respresented. Are you going? Me & the missus'll be there...

I'm not doing that , right now my quad is in the shop to get it's initial break-in service . Let me know if you're riding in my area . There are a lot of trails . I'm just getting to know them .

We forgot the fookin' camera. I took a few with my phone, but they suck. I'll see if I can get some from some other folk that were there. It was a decent time. It wasn't nearly as lame-ass a ride as we thought. Although Big Shirl & I bent the rules a coupla times and passed a coupla slow-ass cagers on the way up the mountain...

Damn, I wish I had gone.

I figured it was going to be a 7mph clutch slippin' ride up the mountain and figured it would really suck on a bike.
