I will focus my efforts on getting the KTM re-jetted for summer, swap the springs, and finish debugging the lights.

Excellent! I need a new battery and I have to fix my kickstand. I snapped the boss right off the frame that the factory kickstand threads into. The threads continue into the frame but the bolt never made it that far.

USCRA is racing that weekend, I'll be in the scoring booth counting laps for Roland and the Vaders during the vintage endurance race on Saturday.

I'm in, and looking for some mates to ride with. I did it last year...Saturday only. Really looking forward to conquering both days this year.

The good news is I'm not on the DRZ pigglie anymore. The bad news is I have zero hours in the woods on the KTM I replaced it with. I have no idea how to handle one of these rides, nevermind one of these rides on a 2-stroke. Also the bike is finally plated, but the lights still don't work.

I have parts to install today. (Brake light switch, finish installing horn, rebuild clutch master.) New tail light is on order and should be here by Wednesday.

Buying used bikes is great. "Works perfectly" my ass!

Hoping to take the thing out at Hop-Ev tomorrow for a shake-down of sorts. I don't need lights or for it to be inspected to do that.

You'll be fine. Riding the thing should be the least scary thing you do with it.

If you can Navigate Hop-Ev, you won't have any troubles on the ride next weekend.

Scary? No. I just want the machine to be legal and for it to make the ride without it breaking down.
Not completely humiliating myself would be nice too. But really, that seems like an absurdly lofty goal.

I would recommend getting a route sheet holder before the ride but if you don't have an odometer on the bike, it may not be super useful other than as a reference if you need to pull over and figure out where we are. Generally there are enough people on this ride that you can follow others and not worry about it but it's always good to have.

That was the instruction I was given and I got a pretty good response time. Apparently the DAD is retired and makes them in his spare time a few at a time.

They are at most of the NETRA events. I have a bzr roll chart holder. It's one of those things you buy once,and never need to get another.

Ended up exploring some stretches that are in my area. There are some tricky areas on Clapp Road in Center Barnstead/Barnstead, I can tell ya that. Old discontinued washed-out road with granite face and lots of loose & protruding shit. Other than that, the sections we checked out looked pretty easy going...

I was hoping to go set up trail side and take in some passers by. But it's looking like we won't be around much...
