WOW! That kinda sucked for all parties involved.
I take it he was trying to jump over them?

Yeah I think they just picked the wrong place for a casual stroll. Didn't look like he expected them to be there at all, and I can't imagine why they wouldn't be aware of the sound of his bike and know they were on a used bike path.
This reminds me of cross country skiers in snowmobile trails. Nothing like coming around a corner to see people trying like hell to get out of the trail. Skis, poles, articles of clothing being shed as they scurry. Then they have the brass to bitch and shake their fists and scream as you go buy.
For the non snowmobile riding types...even with heavily wooded forests and snow still in the trees, on branches, you can hear a sled coming for MILES.
They heard the bike and had ample time to get out of the trail. I bet they get out of the trail when they hear bikes now.
Ouch. The dog didn't look to happy about the whole thing either.
THANK GOD the dog was OK

Seriously? No "stay in the kitchen" jokes? I expected better.

now i miss riding trails... we had an old 250r that we use to rip around on and the same shit would happen, we'd be bombing sideways around a corner and some family would be in the middle of the trail trying to get the hell out of the way then come flip shit
"Could you elaborate on that a bit? Just telling me not to run a specific tire, and giving me no true logical explanation is like telling me I'm going to get my dick sucked tonight, and not by whom."
goddddddddddddddamn
I'd encounter people on the motorized vehicle trails down in Franklin, but for the most part, they'd hear you a mile away and would be off to the side of the trail when you passed
there was also a small practice track in the next town over that also had some nearby residents, and sometimes the older folk would just come to watch (and respectfully keep their distance)
I'm just trying to figure this out...
You're walking on a trail, clearly dug up with ruts.......
The side of the trail is grass, so there is no mistaken of the path's borders....
Chances are they have been walking that trail for sometime, so there goes the possibility that they randomly hoped on a trail.... in the middle of no where.... and didn't have enough time to process where they were.
Then you clearly hear a motor. Granted a hill was infront of you to shield some of the noise but again.... middle of no where...
How do you not put two and two together?
Even the dog was smart enough to NOT go on the trail !
