Yes......we did one of our CRF50's with it and it came out pretty pimp and is real durable (multiple eat shits) and still held up No flaking or chips....

It'll craze like hell if brake fluid has ever hit the plastic.
I'd paint it if it's the same color as the plastic. But if you go a different color and ride through the woods, your bike will come out with scrapes from trees and look like multicolored Shiiiiiit.
Scuff it a bit and then clean it with alcohol to remove any oils. then spray on the Fusion stuff from Krylon. I painted all the plastics and it is very durable. The only place that it seems to have a problem with is the gas tank. The 27 yr old plastic lets some of the gas vapors through enough to make it bubble. also any drips of fuel on it make it dull. but otherwise it was way cheaper than new plastics. The paint holds up to sunlight exposure better than the plastic handguards from Moose racing. They are turning yellow but the body is still bright white.

Photo 2 shows my WReck with it's original, spraybomb patina. Photo 1 shows my WReck after I power washed it and moved to Australia.. Note, the only paint remaining is where last year's stickers were. The 'white' paint on the front numberplate peeled off taking my sticker with it. Underneath was a yellow layer that went with it. Had to reglue that sticker back on. For some reason the blue paint stuck pretty well to the shrouds that were originally on it, those wouldn't pressure wash clean. They were tossed when I got these with authentic 90's graphics though. Wish I could have found a tank with the matching stuff on it...
Based on the layers that came off, my bike started out white, then was purple, yellow, white, then white with blue highlights as you see in Photo 2. I restored it to 10 year old abused white with about 5 minutes of pressure washer action.
i wouldn't waste your time. dirt bikes get rashed...
save your cash for a new set of plastics if they're that ratty. looks way better and will last much longer.

Well I gave it a shot with Krylons Fusion. Did the mud guard thing and the fork protectors. Both were originally white, but turned a nasty yellow pukish color. Cleaned them, and gave it probably 5-6 coats of the spray paint. Came out pretty awesome, only got one ride in so far, but it seems to be holding up well. Only real downside is any scratches that are in the plastic seem to get intensified 10fold with the spray paint. Not a big deal, but could set off the OCD if that sort of thing bothers you.
Stuff is pretty good.....I was impressed and yours looks good enuff

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be riding dirt if you had OCD. The first puddle would have you turning around to go home and polish the spoke nipples.

+1
a lot of guys have a ritualistic method of keeping their stuff shiny clean
I used to just leave it filthy, but am starting to get into the habit of (at least) power washing it the day of the ride
Seth505 is a OCD MX MFer.
That's what sticker kits were made for.
I'm all down with a post ride cleaning and service. I'm saying that if you're afraid of getting it dirty while riding then your not riding in the right frame of mind.
