Here goes: With the high style MX boots are the knee protecters supposed to fit inside the boot? I tried on a high pair with the knee protecters and it felt weird. When I removed the knee pads the boots felt loose at the top? Educate me please. Thanx in advance, Mike
Yup, knee guards go inside the boots, along with the pants (unless you have the over-the-boot style pants).

Yea, I had the Thor shin and knee gaurds and the Rule.....also buy elbow ones too
Over the boot pants are more comfy. Less junk in the boot. Much drier feet is a side benefit.
Knee guards are worth quite a bit of confidence while riding. Elbow guards are a toss up for me. They contribute to arm pump, which is more dangerous than no elbow guards. I'm betting that a shirt with built in pads would be better because you won't have to strap the elbow guards on so tight to keep them in place.
ya what they said, another option is just knee gaurds rather than knee/shin and just adjust your boots tighter. I wear these which are same pads I used for mtb racing http://www.sixsixone.com/Catalog_661...8-e33bac211ae7

I wear one of these when dirt riding and feel like a freakin' storm trooper.

Crashed hard in it, came out perfectly fine. Comfortable to wear.
