I know my buddy Neil (Expat) and his son are going to be going for their first time, orange KTM 200 and a green Kawi 140 4-stroker. If I can get out early I may go up and just get some pics and walk around, feed the addiction a bit. I don't have a bike to ride.
They changed crowhill ALOT.
Some kid infront of me went off a jump and didnt realize it was a double, knocked himself out and I landed inches away from his head.
15 minutes later another kid knocked himself out missing a jump. Its crazy seeing their bodies laying there lifeless but nothing you can do . Cant stop or the guy behind you will hit ya
crazy
We were there Saturday afternoon
I wish, won't be riding all the way out to Newbury Street, I'll be posing at Crowhill if I get there probably, because I don't currently have a dirty bike to ride...
O ya my first lap out last week I had no idea that was a double up there and good thing I had enough speed as I approached aha.
hopefully this light rain tapers off and its clear all afternoon

cant make it out today but have fun if you go. supposed to dry up later.
crazy hearing about the wrecks, are these guys not doing a sight lap before hand?? i hope they dont bring those new 'doubles' down in size, they're perfect as-is.

I didn't see any weird wrecks last week

yeah, usually mellow, only time we saw it get bad was that Sat before the NEMX race day. dudes were eating it left and right all day but the deep ruts were the issue. had to get the machines out there to repair, too many flags.

That was dope I dig the new changes. Def more tricky and they got rid of one of thelame sections I hated

which section did they get rid of?
Beta 200RR
well for one thing, you enter the track, go up that hill/jump, take the left hander around tree, then sweeping right hander, then kind of S turn down the hill (left/right) right into a new double. This is where 3 people ate it right infront of me, def. tricky jump at first.
Then when you come down the end of the sand section toward that long table top jump, you take the same left hander but then go down a new straight away into a double, then a right hander. Rather than that old right hander then long sweeping left into the short table top/double thing they had.

huh, cool. wish i was around for this Sat. how was the condition of the track? never seemed to clear up out here.
Beta 200RR
was really good, no puddles and no watering the track. Pretty perfect, got rough but not crazy

haha she is really nice. I got there Tuesday and she's like we made a few track changes... and Im like oh ok.... then she takes my hand, stares into my eyes and says " we made a few track changes........" like a death stare lol Im like wtf, is there a cliff somewhere in there? She said promise me you'll take a very slow lap. Im like, well, if I went any slower than I do now Id be going 0mph. I suck
They're really nice there, I always recommend that spot to everyone I see.

Took my son there on Thursday, first time on a mx track for him and the first time for me in err hmmm about 20 something years!
Had a blast, didn't attempt the doubles but am sure I am capable next time out, mt son was jumping off the cliff, getting good air and all on a KLX140 to boot!
The people there were super nice and kept an eye out for him.
I was surprised how fast (a) I was compared to some of the people there and (b) how quick some guys could get around there! I guess if you did a track day at Louden without the groupings, it would be a similar experience. Yikes!
Now, whats the best race series around here for us?? !!!!!!
