Just an FYI - The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) doesn't "patrol" anything. The are a Federal agency that regulates Environmental issues - like industrial smoke stacks, and hot or warm water discharge into rivers and streams.
An EPO is an "Environmental Police Officer", and I believe that this is an acronym and title only used in MA. Other neighboring states have different titles and departments.
EPO's are in a division of the MA State Police, and they have a broader set of rules and regulations under which they operate. This can be percieved as a greater "authority" or "power". For instance, unlike a "regular" MA State Police Officer, EPO's can search and sieze your property without need for a warrant.
Most of them are reasonable guys and gals, but there are a few that take it to the limit. Their actions (including Patrols) are usually based on "complaints", so it is wise to keep that in mind.
When i was 14, i got caught oh my 300ex out by the reservoir next to the powerlines by EPA, or perhaps EPO. I saw them, stopped, was compliant. As you said, they were very reasonable, gave me a 25 dollar ticket, and told me to stay on the powerlines.
Whoops are easy, corners are hard. Stay a gear up, hit the gas, accelerate through them, lean back, your golden.

Mmmm... didn't get to ride today. Corrected my mistake in assembling my KX fork from yesterday, then checked valves. Exhausts are a little tight (out of spec), and intakes on the tight side of spec. Question is whether to reshim the intakes while I have the cams out?
bummer you didnt get to ride but i cant believe how cold it is still. had a friend up this weekend and we didn't even feel like playing on the WR around the yard.
on the valve check, might as well get everything in spec before the season starts, no? lotta riding ahead.
i need to get the TC out of the basement for a refresh asap. steering is frozen solidi bet my last wash let water down into the bearings (new set ready to go in)

I found a few things amiss on my KX. Steering head nut was NOT torqued. No wonder the triples were a little out. Otherwise this bike was seriously well prepped. Every bolt I have touched has anti-seize on it. Hope the motor holds up for a good while. receding valves are a worry. I have the stainless ones in there, which are supposed to last. We'll see. Might just keep the 125 for backup!
keep it! 1 4T + 1 2T = goodTimes![]()
