Anyone up for a trail ride tomorrow? I'm in Epping, got some trails near me. Also open to travelling somewhere to ride. I'm a casual rider with enough skills and stupidity to try most anything. Post here, or PM, or text me 603-812-1917.

Never done an enduro before. I have no idea what I would be getting myself into. Also have no idea how it all works....gotta keep track of time and stuff???? Does look like fun, maybe I should educate myself.

I was gonna trailer over to hop-ev. My machine isn't entirely street legal yet.
I'll be at Hop Ev at some point in the AM. Let me know what time you all are getting there and I'll try to catch up with you.
It's pretty easy. It turns it into a game almost (with traditional timekeeping). With the start control format each woods section is the only timed part. The road/transfer sections are not.
So basically: go like stink in the woods, take it easy on the roads. Get to your next chick IN and wait for the minute you checked OUT of the last section to flip and do it again.
The real confusion is that each format has several names. They each all do the same thing, but for whatever reason there's a ton of names for the same thing.

I take it all back. If you had shown up today out of the clear blue: you'd probably not have finished, and you'd probably never try another enduro again.
It was a classic New England beatdown. Proper grizzly.

Shit show. Thru and Thru.
Went to Hop-Ev...had a great day! Did the river loop for the second time. Definitely easier this time around. Only fell 3 times compared to 10 or 12 the first time. Hoping to be able to get through the whole loop without falling down before the end of the year.

From what I saw, that would be impressive.
But I'm new at this. So..
At last year's King Philip Enduro, it was my first one after 23 years of woods retirement & I houred out by the gas stop. This year, having another 6 more Enduros under my belt, I got to the gas stop with 10 minutes to spare, got back out within 8 minutes of my original 2A start minute and had a blast re-running the 1st section at the end, that turned into a "Special Test" through the field railing through berms. My redemption was to get 2nd place in B SuperSenior & a nice etched Beer Mug for a trophy. Took a beating again at this ride, but still had a blast - riding a wide variety of New England terrain (Single-track, whoops, rock gardens, fast flowing, water crossings, and more hills to climb and descend), covering 70 miles in 5 hours.
