One upside to being a shrimp is that I can cheap out and buy kid clothes secondhand (and avoid the pink avalanche that is women's gear...). Eventually I'm going to have to just try stuff on, but in the meantime... Anyone who has/had a roughly 5 ft 120 lb kid know what size gear they wore at that age, or happen to know whether a kids' L = women's S, or XL = men's S, etc? What about boots, how do those sizes compare to adult sizes?
Best bet is to go somewhere with a decent selection to test fit a few things. Depending on what I'm looking at I'm either a kid's large or adult small or medium for example. What size shoe do you wear now, I may have a line on a set of appropriate boots?
Thanks Kurlon!
Ah, yeah, I'm sure it varies by brand. I feel bad test fitting stuff I know I'm not going to buy so I was hoping to avoid that, but I may have to. I wear a women's 6.5-7, or 38 in Euro sizes.
I'll see what I've got left around the house to use as sizing guides/etc tonight.
another option ... Rocky Mountain is awesome about returns/exhanges due to fit. if you can't nail anything local, i'd suggest measuring yourself then comparing to the size charts on RMATVMC. order a few things, try on, return the stuff that doesn't fit. painless process but does take time.

RJ Motorsports in Nashua sells USED gear too.. .another quick way to try and buy cheap
Can't really help but I'm loving your correct usage of plural possessives..

Got a set of Oneal 7/39 boots you can try.
Have some used-twice kids pants that should fit around that size. Forget what kind they are and I'm traveling right now so can't look. Bought them for my son when he was about that big. You can have them. I don't mean to try on. I mean they're yours if you want them. Pm me if interested in pics or looking at them.
Ha, thank you so much for looking! I'm not sure when's the next time I'll be headed up your way, so don't hold onto them on my account. But if you still have them the next time I see you, I will take you up on that.
That's awesome, thank you! Will PM.
The boots aren't going any where any time soon, no worries. And I'm sure some sort of excuse will be discovered eventually to justify us being in the same area.
