Going to the NJ round this year. Lol can’t seem to make it to foxboro the years it comes there but heading down to jersey seems to be no problem.
Here come the 450s
Trying to work my schedule out so I can see the show next weekend in Glendale, it’s 10 miles from home! I have never seen SX or pro level MX in person which is pretty sad.

yeah, track looked slick as shit, the all-weather MX'ers usually shine on those types of nights ... hilarious when the first gate wouldn't drop then first corner was ICCEEEE. i thought the racing was good, look forward to a dry race next wknd.
agreed on attending in person, super fun ... but lame they're not coming back to Gillette, might try to make Jersey again this year.
i would love to hit a SX race out west, i've only flown out for supermoto in Vegas years ago, even lesser comparison ... speaking of live durty, i wish EnduroCross would hit the east coast!

Back in 1984 Honda themselves could put Bailey, Hannah, OMara, or Chandler on the podium, and then of course you still had Ward, Lechein, Johnson, Barnett and others who could win. Guess I am rewinding too far.

i think it's too early to tell how the field will shake out. A1 was a slop fest, spectating those conditions can be a little boring although there were a lot of surprises for me.
on personalities, the sport has gotten way too serious but what hasn't these days? the envelope of speed has been pushed to ridiculous levels. it's too much. the injuries, or risk of, are too severe. you can smell more fear in the water compared to the old days.
regarding early Honda/Kawi ... yeah, i grew up in the Wardy vs RJ heyday as well. every race, SX or MX, was exciting as shit. it's all business now. like if it was Wardy vs Wardy, it wouldn't have been as exciting. RJ brought the punk attitude, just like Hannah earlier, and McGrath later on. i don't think we'll see those kinds of personalities any more. at least ones that can podium consistently.
i'm looking forward to seeing what Anderson comes back with, he must be ripshit. Wilson surprised the hell out of me, never liked him but i think he's real hungry now. same for Barcia, drop the Bam Bam thing and focus ... plus all the new blood up front ... i think Glendale will be interesting.

Malcom Stewart surprised me until he slid out the rear wheel. Dean Wilson did too. I just wonder if the slop wasn't there if they would have run up front as long as they did. I'd think Wilson probably would but not sure about Stewart. Hannah (still my fave) hated just about everyone and said it, RJ had that punk attitude with the silly bad boy logo type stuff (but he was a fave of mine), and McGrath became a name even non-moto people recognized.

Been reading some posts and seeing some pics of bikes from the SD mud race. I guess they added so much lime that bikes have major issues on the aluminum and some riders have skin burns. Sucks for a privateer trying to keep it going from one race to the next to have to also add in all this. Pic of Reed's bike.

i had to avoid this thread until i got caught up ...
wow, that's nuts on the lime! hadn't read that yet.
...
shit is getting interesting with the dry soil, damn Webb was on FIRE, great mains at Arlington in both classes ... Roczen is playing it smart, i fear for a wreck, can't even imagine what goes through his head out there but he's looking fantastic all things considered.
looking forward to Detroit![]()
