Hi Gino!
Some of the group:
Paul off by himself, but note the rain in the picture. It either was raining or raining harder while we were there:
What the track looked like:
Yup....that is not supposed to be across the track. This caused them to stop the race and restart.
Clinton:
Biggity.....such a good effort!
Squirrel!!
Joel.....one of the many victims of the mud...
Hey Paul....what are you doing out there?
Sometimes you just need a hand...
This kind of sums it up...
Umm yeah....powerwashing of what?!?
Thanks guys for a good time despite the weather!

Reminds me of one time when we went to Diamond Back. I waited for my friend to get out of work and we made it there around 1:00am. Supposed to crash in our friend's camper, but they were all asleep by then, so we slept in the truck and listened to it pour.
Come morning it was a complete slop-fest. I looked at the track and said "nope". My friend was stubborn and decided he wasn't going all that way to not ride. He crashed 4 times in his first practice lap. Was too tired to continue, so he bailed out half-way throught the first lap. (He crashed next to a hole in the fence.) I waited for like 10 minutes for him to cross the finish....then found him back at the truck. LOL
After the first few practice sessions, they called the races off.
^ yup. it was that kinda weekend. after two crashes my arms were toast! brain no worky either. the toughest sections for me were the downhills and cavity gullies. so hard to nut up and bomb those ruts. haven't ridden in slop like that in a long, long time.
the best was watching Daniel ask Ralph (track honcho) if we were going to run the short course... "Why?" with a super straight face is all he got in return... twice![]()
