I just got some prep work done. I cleaned 4 airfilters, got a new tube in my rear tire and had them flip it around for fresh edges. Washed the bike and adjusted the chain.
Then I checked my powervalve adjustment just for the hell of it. It had spun out of adjustment completely! The valve was not opening at all causing a serious lack of top end hit and making the bike run super rich. Doh! No wonder I've been struggling so badly to make that downhill double lately even though I was doing it a lot last season...
There's a grub screw type thing that is supposed to hold it in position, but the rubber grommet on the tip of it must be dried out... I'll have to keep an eye on it on saturday.
I'm thinking of goin down friday night to check in. I might just bring the bike down saturday morning.
Gotta go wash some riding gear...
i took my kickstand off.
that's about it.
Oh, and put some number on and some DNF stickers.
I'm ready
aha I hate when stuff is F'd. I just had my subframe off today putting in clean filter and cleaning out air box/air boot real good. Checked my rear shock and my preload adjuster had spun loose and was just spinning around. Checked my sag and sure enough it was off by almost an inch...oops, now its good to go though.

same over here... spun a dam nutsert in my subframe again, lil Quick Steel to the rescue. (how do you replace those damn things?) also found play in my upper linkage. looks like i'll be stripping all that down soon. left fork seal had some seepage before CH, gotta get my stuff to GMD when i have the cake.
other than reg maint i'm pretty close to ready. gear is clean, bike is clean, new tires are on (boy is the rear skinny!), filter is clean, etc... just gotta do oil in the morning then pack up.
Paul, is that tiny o-ring/grommet thing pretty basic looking? i can scope my parts bins for something if it helps (?)
